Come one come all, The Gauntlet Tavern!

Owned by the proud House Sorenvik, The Gauntlet still stands mighty in the heart of Velheim Square, beckoning all with open arms to make merry with warm food, and strong drink. Boasting our proud colors, we are happy to announce the Official Re-Opening of the tavern, under brand new management!

Eerikur Ulvid Fjordefil, a guard on the Violet Order, proudly announces the full reopening of The Gauntlet. All are welcome, lest you look to cause trouble for any who wish to partake in festivities, no matter whom they may be. In which case, troublemakers will be properly dealt with.

Not to say we don't like a good fight! We are comfortably situated next to the fight pit that accentuates our little district, for either drunken fistfights, or a true spar and show of one's courage.

Any fighting within the bar itself will NOT be tolerated. Take it outside or shut up.

The Gauntlet Tavern has in the past, been a hotspot for local events within the large community of Northerners in the past. We intend to re-ignite the spark the district once had. It makes it a safe spot for those from the far north and the citizens within The Crown Isle who may be keen to make new friends.

Pork"Chip" Platter

Thinly sliced pork chop, breaded and fried in butter, topped with sauteed green onion and black pepper.
Served with The Gauntlet's in-house-made Beer Cheese dip.

Lambs meat smoked with applewood and shredded, steeped with cabbage, and seasoned with salt and pepper.
Served with sourdough bread.

Grilled to preference, seasoned with pepper, salt, and drizzled with a red-wine marmalade.
Served with mashed potatoes and bacon-wrapped grilled asperagus.

Smoked with Juniper wood, the leg is primed and prepped with a salt and pepper seasoning,
before being baked with a dash of chicken broth.

A wet pancake with drizzled sugar syrup served with grapes, strawberries, and sliced cantaloupe.

The Breakfast Platter

Two eggs sunny side up, seasoned with salt and pepper. A "handful" of smoked turkey bacon,
as well as a fresh biscuit with a butter spread. Tea/Kaffe bought with The Breakfast Platter costs 1 Regal

A delightful puff pastry filled with a heavy whipping cream filling,
topped with raspberries or strawberries.

Kransekake

Crispy, cookie-like cakes made with ground almond, egg, and sugar.
They are stacked one atop the other in a cone shape, held together with an icing glaze.

Lagkage

At least three layers of sponge cake, held together with layers of whipped cream,
with whipped strawberries and raspberries. It is topped similarly.

Kladdkaka

A thin chocolate cake that is incredibly dense, and intense with the bitter chocolate taste.
Served with either whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

OOC DISCLAIMER: All Desert cakes are about the size of an appetizer dish, if not smaller. Not only are these proportions more realistic to a single person, but it makes more sense for streamlined rp. Baking these will not take hours, so they're a tad less realistic. Then again, it's roleplay, who the fuck cares.
