by Camille Saint-Saëns. The Lich Lord of the Deep has called for the many to enjoy themselves in an eve of hedonism and entertainment with almost no limits whatsoever. Despite the fact the Solifuge Society has been keeping a tight lid on what the nature of the party is about, the Lich appears to be driving them crazy by choosing to spill the beans anyway. This party is to be held off of the shores of Regalia and is meant to make a mockery of a funeral for the 'dead' skeletal scholar and another unknown topic. They only giggle and tell people to "wait and see" what the unknown topic is to be, however... What this long party entails: Spouting about deathly superstitions and playing games with dark themes, partying 'like you could be next' Henate's Duel and Wutienda Duel A large bonfire in which items representing their oppressors and enemies will be thrown into Luxury food, rest, and drink Potential to earn a non-magical replica of Xilthruum's wand forged in rare materials What party-goers are encouraged to do: Wear neutral colours and bring contents for a full night out (dress for the cold) Avoid unmasking women wearing veils or men in masks Avoid conflict when inside the venue Obey when given an order by the host Bring a gift for the host When this party will begin: SATURDAY, JULY 18TH, 6PM EST https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html Where to meet: INDIVIDUALS WILL GO TO THE SOLIFUGE CISTERN AND BE BLINDFOLDED BEFORE BEING LEAD TO THE PARTY VENUE AT 6:15PM EST AND WILL BE RETURNED THE FOLLOWING MORNING Invite list: The Solifuge Society The Requisition @Mollymock @BiBiBirdie The Hexenblood Circle @birdsfoot violet @Finlaggan The Technocratic Collective (leader permitted to show up as either character) Hagmer and Abigail @Banard @Lizmun Mother Alexi and Knave @LeafMC @DrFong Miss R. and Naajy @Ampers07 @PuffyPigeon This list may freely expand by sending a letter to Xilthruum Werebeasts and Archbloods permitted if wearing a collar Sihndar barred without question Spoiler: OOC Rules and Notes While characters canonically will spend the night at the venue, you are free to teleport out at any time you like. People who show up late potentially may not be allowed in. Otherwise, the venue will be open to roleplay in for those from this party until July 19th, 12PM EST, in which characters will be escort out with the same blindfolds. When performing the "Tournament to Dye," players will have three pouches of dye before they are 'out of ammo.' They will then roll 1-10, with 1-5 being a miss and 6-10 being a hit. Having +10 Throwing Combat alters the chances to 1-3 being a miss and 4-10 being a hit. To ensure Wutienda and Henate's duels don't take too long, players may be forced to roll 1-20, best of three wins the bout. This is because some mutations and spells are messy and others may want to participate afterward. Characters intending to 'party-crash,' refuse a blindfold, or interrupt the event must notify me in advance.
An invitation was shoved into the Silven's gloved hands. Sweat dripped of her face, mixed in with copious amounts of makeup, which dripped onto the paper as she read it. Silver eyes lazily read, half opened and attention lulling. "Yeah." Sighed out the demoness in a depressive wheeze and adjustment of thick clothing, "Suppose I'll go." And that was that.
((looking to kill Alexi twice, smh)) A letter arrives at the Lich Lord's desk, carried by little Knave: Dearest Xilthruum, You must have misplaced my invitation, but I shall ascribe no malice to it. I know how quiet my Church has been of late. How quickly the sleeping are forgotten. Alas, such quiet may have to continue, as I cannot guarantee my attendance. I shall procure you a gift, of course. This affair is a most delightfully inverted symbol, a construct of undeniable Spiritual power, and one I would regret were I not to take at least some small part in it. Yours in Spirit, Mother Alexi, of The Helping Hand ((So yea, while this sounds like a lot of fun, I'm not sure I'll be able to show up as I'm usually busy on Fridays. Hope everyone has a good time!))
Scribbled at the bottom of (@LeafMC) Mother Alexi's note in a different hand it just says: Knave wants to come to! I promise to be good. Bye, Knave
Dear Xilthruum, I hope this letter finds you well. I’d like to bring along a fellow sanguine friend, Clairess Renfield. She is not part of any coven, nonetheless she is a very good friend of mine. I do plan on attending, thank you for your consideration. Best regards, Mirabella Wymarc.
Xilthruum is up to their mischief again. They made it a point to approach each and every individual on their list, incessantly giggling while informing them that they have pushed their "untimely, incoming, inevitable death" back by a day (Saturday, 6pm EST) so that as many people as possible can witness them- and just because they can! @Athelois @Banard @BiBiBirdie @Mollymock @Finlaggan @Birdsfoot_Violet @LeafMC @DrFong @Ampers07 @PuffyPigeon @ninjabug505 @Lizmun
The Lich would find upon his desk a letter of cheap paper sealed with a haphazard blob of dirtied beeswax. The paper—once creased beyond reckoning and again dutifully flattened out—was mottled with smudge marks from small, inky fingers and the smears of substances unknown that were perhaps better left that way. Inside a message written in a spindly sienna script followed: To Lich-man, It's a gathering you're having and I want to gather too. You may not know me well but I want to eat food. I think that's a good enough reason to attend. But there's more as well. It's a riddle or a puzzle or a game—anyway it's something I need help with. So think, answer if you know: Can you untangle a forest's knot like you would a knot of rope? In a forest of tying and twisting, I became a question. Knots can be nooses. I don't want my neck in one.
