The warriors surrounded him, their blades drawn.... He growled softly, his blades slowly sliding out of their sheathes, the girl beside him drawing her own. The bandits attacked, relying on sheer force of numbers to try and take down the opposing duo... Jake's blades stabbed into the gut of one charging warrior, him kneeling and shoving upwards, sending the bandit flying back behind him, dead... Meanwhile, the girl he had come to love slashed at two, slicing their throats. Her blades found their way into another bandit, and Jake swept his legs out, knocking one down as his swords found his way into his chest. He spared only the slightest glance to his comrade before moving onto the next enemy, one blade going downward towards his head... The bandit confidently lifted his shield, not even seeing the sword rushing in from the left. It sliced open his stomach, the warrior falling in agony. Jake looked back over to help Emma with the last one, only to see a bandit behind her. He shouted, trying to get her attention, but it was too late... *The sword slammed into her back as the other one launched an attack of his own. Jake, in blind fury, threw one of his weapons... It struck him wonderfully in the side, distracting his attention as Jake flung himself at them, ripping the blade free as he stabbed the warrior again, his attention going to the other... Upon looking into his eyes, the bandit found a horrifying fury... His last moments were spent screaming. Jake fell to his knees beside the dying girl, hastily trying to bandage her injury... The blood came out fast, and he didn't know what to do... She looked up at him, tears forming in her eyes as her life slipped away... Out came a cry like a wounded animal, a cry of mourning and rage... A truly pitiful and terrifying call, as the Turall cradled his fallen friend in his arms...
The notebook slowly closed, as Hector sighed slightly, lost in thought, lost in the memories of that day... He'd seen a whole new side to his friend when he'd come across them.
"Please, do not ask me to recount that tale again..." He told the person across from him...
