The Department Of Occupations

The Department of Occupations, often called 'The Unemployment Office', is a new organization founded by the Imperial Dame Agatha Harhold to give those who are of low standing and riddled with woes a second chance. The Office was formed on the eve of the 17th of April, 306 AC with the goal to set those who have wandered down a stray path, to set themselves toward greatness once again.

'Attention denizens of Regalia! The Imperial Dame and Minister of Commons, Agatha Harhold, is proud to present the opening of the Department of Occupations! The Lady Harhold will be offering personal aid to get you back on your two feet, guiding you onto the lawful path of life that you seemed to have strayed from. If you are a new arrival in Regalia, or an ex-convict seeking a fresh start, Her Excellency will explore all possible means to find you employment and suitable lodgings. Weekly meetings will be held between all members of the department and Her Excellency to assure no criminal activity or skirmishes with the innocent citizens of the Holy City. Along with this, the Department of Occupations will be taking part in acts of charity, offering solace to those less fortunate.'

This organization is a group formed for the common people and main-street businesses alike. The businesses that sign up and give their approval to be registered upon the roster will be supplied with ample workers, furthering their popularity while also taking part in an act of charity. House guards are also free to sign up if they are lacking numbers, but they must be willing to provide barracks for those without lodgings.

The overseer of the charity and the woman with the final say on all matters concerning the department.

Benefactors: Geneveive Howlester @SpunSugar,
The benefactors are those who offer a donation, no matter how large or small, to aid in the charity's growth and development. They also lend a hand with decisions being made for the department, offering ideas to the chairwoman. There is no set amount of benefactors, and anybody may pen a letter showing their interest.

This is where all businesses that are willing to provide employment for the citizens of Regalia will be displayed. As stated before, house guard charters may also pen the Lady Agatha with their intent of being listed.

If you're looking to sign up either as somebody needing work, or as a business willing to open themselves up to the needy, merely send a letter! There is no proper application template because I don't really see a need for one. Write something addressed to Agatha Harhold explaining your current situation and what you hope to gain for the future. ​

A letter enclosed in a white envelope marked by a deep blue wax seal would be delivered to the Imperial Dame Agathar Harhold. The letter would read as follows:

To the Imperial Dame Harold,
I caught wind of the new department you have created and believe it to be a splendid idea. As we have only recently created our house guard, the Bull's Legion, we are lacking in members and are willing to take in any able bodied men and women who find themselves of the warrior type. If there are those you wish to send my way, I would be extremely grateful. Many thanks.
