The Corneuille Truce

As of the first day of the fourth month, 307 AC, an agreement has been formulated between the houses of De Letoirneau and Delmotte permitting a return to peace between the two families, and avoiding the possibility of further unnecessary bloodshed and destruction than has already been wrought in other areas of the Empire.


General Terms:

• The realms of Loiree-Bas and Basta agree to a extended truce in their conflict to be formalised into a overarching agreement of non-aggression within one month (upon the first day of May), should the terms of this agreement hold.
  
  
• Should any single one of these terms be broken or otherwise disavowed by either party, without accepted renegotiation between the two families over such period as the truce holds, the treaty will be considered null and void in its full extent.
  
  
• The Delmotte Count is to offer an undisputed public apology to the De Letoirneau Countess for brash and libellous words he has issued prior to this agreement, to be accepted with intent of cooling relations between both participants. Further, all members of the families of both parties will halt any further slanderous insults of the other for the duration of the truce lest it should inflame tensions unnecessarily.

Within the Home Realms:

• The Delmotte family is to cease their conflicts with the Angle Veer Barons immediately and recognise the full sovereignty of the Grand Duke Harhold as undisputed ruler of the Angle Veer.
  
  
• To concentrate the above, all Delmotte military forces (unless committed to the war against the Kathar scourge, or otherwise agreed) should remain stationed in Basta for a one-week period. The family is not required to disband their mercenary force. Likewise, the De Letoirneau mercenary detachment shall return to Loiree-Bas and remain there until otherwise stipulated. Both families shall also withdraw all warships to their home ports, unless otherwise stipulated within the treaty.

Within the Altery Realms:

• The primary aim of this swift end to the conflict is to ensure the stability and undisputed prosperity of the Altery Viceroyalties. As such, both families are to not only withdraw any and all soldiers situated in their colonial holdings, but to refute either deploying or raising further forces for as long as the truce should last. The Altery Viceregalities of both De Letoirneau and Delmotte are to remain free of soldiers.
  
  
• The De Letoirneau blockade upon the Delmotte holdings will be brought to a swift end. To from here on ensure the security of local trade, and maintain peaceful coexistence in local waters, a joint naval dispatch of two De Letoirneau and two Delmotte warships is to be created with intent on patrolling the waters of both colonies. No more warships may enter this region, and any foreign incursion into either will be met with swift condemnation and reaction from the Joint Task Force.

It is the hope of both families that this agreement will provide a substantial basis upon which to build a more permanent peace, and the prosperity of both sides following months of unneeded turmoil.

Update Note 1:
As of the 6th day of May 307 AC, the families of De Letoirneau and Delmotte have agreed to a further three month truce - as such expiring on the 6th August. Additionally, a note that Delmotte's commitments to the Altery Part and its naval requirement are henceforth null and void as the family has ceded them in favour of a military commission.
