The Civil Ministry The Civil Ministry serves as a path for exceptional citizens to have their efforts recognized and rewarded by the State. The rights of the Civil Ministry are as follows: To assign the status of "Exemplary Citizen" to commoners who demonstrate particular merit, and maintain a public register of such for use by State and Nobility. To assess Civil Status exceptions, and provisionally raise the civil status of individuals who demonstrate particular merit. To access Violet Order records for Civil Status exemption investigations. To maintain a blacklist of unmeritorious citizens, barring them from service under any State agency, which may be overturned by Lord Chancellor. To carry a weapon for ceremonial and self-defence purposes. The Civil Ministry will announce audiences for these exceptions to be assessed for any individual. What does it mean for Commoners?: Are you an Outsider civil status and feel you shouldn't be? Do you want to attend noble parties but aren't allowed? Apply for a Civil Status exception and have your civil status raised, so you can have more legal rights. Apply for an Exemplary Citizen status, and let the nobility know you are a respectable, upstanding citizen and worthy to be among them, and they may invite you! What does it mean for Nobility?: Those assigned to Exemplary Citizen status are on an invite-only case. Do you want to permit commoners to a dance, but don't want the average riff-raff walking in? Only permit nobility and Exemplary Citizens to the event, and be assured those who show up will be wonderful company! Was one of the Exemplary Citizen attendees acting out of line or disrespectful? Send word to the Civil Minister, her Ladyship Kaya Sorenvik, and see them immediately removed of their status, only allowed to reapply after investigation. Criminals and ne'er-do-wells beware! The Civil Ministry maintains the right to revoke any and all state agency one may have attained.
