A Report of The Regalian Scholars Meeting
A group of scholars were summoned forth by the nobility to discuss their theories and propositions for what the state should do about the Clickers. A problem arose, however, when some scholars seemed worried that their findings would be illegal to report, since it discusses topics that are deemed heretical. After some confusion, His High Eminence William Howlester arrived to provide legal counsel, which no doubt soothed the concerns of the scholars. Baroness Milena du Brierüst spent time discussing the appearance of the Clickers when they are not under their invisibility spell. It would appear that Clickers are fifteen feet tall and appear to be a head on a torso, two arms ending in talons and a prehensile tail with spikes on it. They have a wide mouth which is too big for their face. Curiously, while the Clickers appear to have giant teeth, they do not attack with these teeth. Viscount Augustin Reinard's testimony was of particular use, however, I have elected not to record it here due to its sensitive nature. His suggestions on how to proceed were also positively received, but I will also not divulge these in such a public paper since there are those, however small in number, who support the Clickers.
As a final note, His High Eminence William Howlester announced that, as many suspected, the arrival of the Clickers was caused by the war with the Dread Empire. It would appear that as their evil Empire collapsed, many are dying and many more are sacrificing themselves. It is this mass sacrifice that allowed that meteor to fall and summon the Clickers in the first place. But, just as Regalia triumphed over the Dread Empire, so shall it triumph over the Kathar's toys.
A New Inquisition and a New Arcanum
The Lord Chancellor has appointed a new Inquisition, which is already facing controversy. This new Inquisition was formed out of the Kreiguard Company and claims to be both holy and divine in nature. However, others have accused it of being over-zealous and attacking both None Status and Citizens alike for even the smallest of infractions. My understanding is that the Charter is currently under increased scrutiny, however, this is not confirmed. Additionally, it would appear the Jacobins are using this opportunity to make their usual sweeping statements that disregard the facts. Do not allow the potential faults of anything to distract you, dear reader, from the Jacobins' true intent to divide us during this time of crisis we face.In other news, the Arcanum Order under Commander Helvath and the Storm Sentinels under Commander Arnyn have combined their Charters under the simple name of "The Arcanum." It would appear the Arcanum, born out of the consolidation of the Greywitches and the Templars, have added another Charter to their collection. Only a few more and they'll have collected them all.
Addendum: As of yesterday, Rose Court was declared a neutral zone by the Lord Chancellor. As the majority of recent Rose Court guard activity was undertaken by the Inquisition, this, I believe, is designed to send a message.
