Piles of papers could be found all around highly frequented areas in the city. Subscribers got their copies delivered to their door, however. They sat there, just waiting to be read.

Once again, it is I, Maxwell, here writing to you about our fair city. This time, the focus turns to some local businesses and religious sects that reached out looking for something to be written about them. My apologies, dear reader, for this lackluster introduction, but the staff of The Citizens' Edit have been busy as of late.

Government Shakeup: Welcoming New Secretaries
Yes, in recent weeks the government has seen quite the change, with many Secretaries being removed for a reason I unfortunately fail to remember. Normally in our paper we refrain from using the names of government employees, instead referring to them by their titles to keep criticism of the office separate from criticism of the person. This time is an exception.
The Lord Chancellor is now Louis Delmotte and he has already made some excellent decisions.
The Secretary of the Whip is now Augustin Reinard.
The Secretary of War is now Dietrich von Drachenburg.
The Secretary of the Commons is now Lage av Fristadvlom.

A Word from This Issue's Sponsor
The Hammer's Heart Blacksmith Order is a group of Blacksmiths, Alchemists and Clockwork Engineers that give everything for the satisfaction of their customers. They are open to integrate and accept blacksmiths, alchemists and clockwork engineers into their order.

"The Hammer's Heart Blacksmith Order run by Violetta Gomorrha is easily the best citizen owned blacksmiths shop in regalia. Amazing service and quality with high grade metal that works for both decoration and quality weaponry. I strongly recommend this place for your needs."

A Focus on Faith: Nonnatean Order
A Focus on Faith is a new segment in the Citizens' Edit I hope will appear in every issue, where I speak to different Unionist leaders and help them express their views so that the public might better understand what our different faith leaders stand for.
I recently spoke to the Revered Mother Henri, a prominent member of the Regalian Chapter of the Nonnatean Order, the last unified order of Unionism established by the Holy Emperor Theomar. The Order is composed of women who act as mothers to the faith and the faithful, guiding and caring for the children of the Spirit in accordance with Its teachings and will. The Nonnatean Order, it should be noted, did exist before the discovery of the Tenth Creed, however, it is not a part of the Synod and so was not affected in the same way as the Synod was. Going forward, Revered Mother Henri says that the Nonnatean Order will continue to nurture and guide all Unionists to continue the growth of the various churches. The Nonnatean Order, by its nature, is always willing to listen to your problems and help you along the way, so do not hesitate to schedule a meeting with any of the Revered Mothers should you feel compelled to. For more information on the Nonnatean Order, feel free to contact them.

Parable of the Lost Traveller by Revered Wilhelm Godeffroy Hiberson
There were once two men, a father and a son, traveling down the road. It was the same road they traveled ever since the father's son was an infant child. One day, as they were traveling down that road, the son took notice of all the sorts of places in the wilderness he passed by.
"Father," he pleaded. "Let me go on my own, so that I may see all that the world has to offer."
The father gladly accepted his son's request and offered him a compass, a lantern, and a map.
"How do I use these things, being as I never had the time to learn them?"
"Stay with me, and I will teach you."
The son then looked to the west and saw the sun just pass its apex. "The day is dying," he cried, "and tomorrow it might rain, then what shall I do." With that he took off, not even bothering bringing the tools his father offered him.
At first the son enjoyed his new found freedom. But as the hours went by, he realized he was lost and could not find his way back. He stumbled along many briers and thorns and fell into many steep places as he tried to find his way back home.
When the sun finally set, darkness fell and enshrouded all the son could see. The cold came and enveloped him and sent shivers down his spine. The son then curled up beside a tree, waiting for the cold to claim him, when, miraculously, a light appeared and there was his father, holding the lantern the son had neglected to take with him.
"Father, please forgive me."
"It is all well, come, and learn how to use these things that you might not be lost again."

This concludes this issue of the Citizens' Edit. Remember: if you want to have a write-up for your Unionist Sect or business, contact me, Maxwell, by posting your letter to the back of the Rose Court bulletin board. Thank you to all our subscribers and sponsors who make this paper possible. Finally, remember: if you spot any suspicious activity, report it to the Violet Order.

Aleck grimaced, glancing to the Howlester at his desk and slipping the paper across to him. "This one called me a poof, I thought the government would have some standards."

Edmure leaned back in his armchair, scanning the text with a mild chuckle. "What gave you that idea?"
