The Ben Jones Company, founded in early October, 308 AC, is a multi-faceted business built off of the identity and property of Ben Jones. The Ben Jones Company is a revolutionary endeavor in entrepreneurship, existing simultaneously as three subsidiaries, each with their own management and services. Ben Jones Cuisine, covering the food portion of the Ben Jones Company, sells such famous products as Ben Jones Calemberg Whiskey and Ben Jones Anglian Steaks. Ben Jones Wares, which handles all merchandise operations of the Ben Jones Company, sells such iconic items as Ben Jones Posters, Ben Jones apparel, and the one-of-a-kind Ben Jones Reclining Table. Last but certainly not least, Ben Jones Entertainment covers all live-action aspects of the Ben Jones Company, from the operation of the Ben Jones Circus to Daredevil performances by Ben Jones himself.
Another revolutionary concept found in the Ben Jones Company is its selling of Ownership Shares, through which individuals may purchase a percentage of ownership of the Ben Jones Company. What this means is that the Ben Jones Company is not a sole proprietorship business, but a company owned by several ever-changing individuals. These individuals each hold a level of ownership relative to the value of the share (or shares) they have purchased, with management decisions being made by the majority of ownership.
Who is Ben Jones?
The Jones Family is a house unlike any other, one in which all its members are pushed to reach for the stars and beyond. Ben Jones, known by many across Regalia for his public stunts, posters, world-class whiskey, and association with the Elites of Regalia, is a man whose full story is known by few.
Born in Anglia, Ben Jones has had a ravenous hunger for excitement and adventure since he was a young lad. His incredible daredevil feats became far too much for his stiflingly conservative father to handle when, at fifteen years old, Ben Jones climbed a steep cliff face near his Ranch home and leapt several stories into a lake. After this stunt, Ben Jones was sent to Regalia by his father to attend a Military Academy specialized in Frontline Command and Crossbow Combat. Graduating with honors and flying colors, Ben Jones was offered a number of positions within the private sector and the Regalian Military, but instead chose to run and operate a Circus that he had inherited shortly after graduation.
Travelling to the farthest reaches of Ailordom to entertain the masses, the Ben Jones Circus grew to see much success and acclaim. Famous for its multitude of exotic beasts, impossible feats, and brilliant displays of acrobatics, the Ben Jones Circus would be nothing if not for its star performer, the daredevil Ben Jones himself. Said to be nearly indestructible, the man has performed more death-defying stunts than any sane individuals would ever dare.
Later coming to own both his childhood Ranch Home in Anglia and a family Whiskey Distillery in Calemberg, Ben Jones sought to make these properties into the highest quality producers of Steak and Whiskey in all the Empire. Indeed, many now seek out these products at incredible prices, and are shocked to find them selling at prices affordable by even the lower-middle class.
Realizing that the common sitting table was insufficient for relaxation during meals, a quality which Ben Jones found necessary for the proper enjoyment of his Steaks and Whiskey, Ben Jones came to invent an unprecedented breakthrough in the world of dining furniture: The Ben Jones Reclining Table. Consisting of a large, low-sitting U-shaped sofa surrounding a table, the Ben Jones Reclining Table provides optimal relaxation, digestion, flavor, and social interaction to all diners.
Truly a man deserving of awe, the name Ben Jones lives up to its legacy. Used by some as a generic term for incredible, world-changing people, many have come to describe historic icons as the "Ben Jones" of their fields.
Company Structure
Consisting of three subsidiaries, the Ben Jones Company has a rather unique structure among other companies. On the large scale, there are two levels of management, that being Company and Subsidiary Management. All operations below big-picture management are done at the Subsidiary level, with most employees officially working for one of the three Subsidiaries.
Company structure may be subject to change based upon the expanding needs of the Ben Jones Company.
Company Management
Shareholder: Shareholders consist of all individuals who currently possess ownership shares of the Ben Jones Company. Each Shareholder has at least a 5% ownership stake, and a scaling vote in Company policy according to ownership. Shareholders do not have direct management over the Company, instead delegating this task to the President, Vice-President, and Treasurer.
President: The head of Ben Jones Company operations, the President is in charge of all management of the Company. The President is appointed by a majority vote of the Shareholders, and removed likewise.
Vice-President: The second-in-command of all Company management, the Vice-President acts as a second pair of hands for the President, fulfilling his role in the President's absence. The Vice-President is appointed in the same way as the President.
Secretary: The Secretary is responsible for handling correspondences, booking venues, and as a communications director for the Company. They serve at the pleasure of the President and Vice-President, and are appointed in like fashion by the Shareholders.
Treasurer: The Treasurer handles all financial and monetary issues within the Company, as well as the selling of Ownership Shares. The Treasurer serves independently from the President and Vice President, and is appointed by the Shareholders.
Ben Jones Cuisine
Subsidiary Managing Director: Responsible for enacting the vision of the President within their Subsidiary, and with control over the management of all Subsidiary operations. Appointed by the President.
Chief Culinary Expert: Responsible for ensuring quality and productivity among all products of Ben Jones Cuisine. The Chief Culinary Expert serves at the pleasure of the Subsidiary Managing Director by directly managing all Ben Jones Cuisine production and sale facilities.
Ben Jones Wares
Subsidiary Managing Director: Responsible for enacting the vision of the President within their Subsidiary, and with control over the management of all Subsidiary operations. Appointed by the President.
Chief Quality Inspector: Responsible for ensuring quality and productivity among all products of Ben Jones Wares. The Chief Quality Inspector serves at the pleasure of the Subsidiary Managing Director by directly managing all Ben Jones Wares production and sales.
Ben Jones Entertainment
Subsidiary Managing Director: Responsible for enacting the vision of the President within their Subsidiary, and with control over the management of all Subsidiary operations. Appointed by the President.
Chief Ringmaster: Responsible for ensuring quality and availability of Ben Jones Entertainment, operating Ben Jones Entertainment events, and managing the welfare of Ben Jones Entertainment employees and assets. The Chief Ringmaster serves at the pleasure of the Subsidiary Managing Director by directly leading all Ben Jones Entertainment performances.
