The Academia Ministry By declaration under Lord Chancellor Madelyn de Azcoissia, the appointed Academia Minister Haeddi van Hal has taken the lead in the scholarly pursuits of the chancellery. With the ideals of education and research in the name of bettering the Regalian Empire, focusing on scientific and technological advancements come as the main highlight to the ministry. As announced by the chancellery, the rights of the Academia Ministry are as follows: The right to choose in what manners the State focuses research. The right to commission scholars and resources to advance said research. The right to mount official investigations into scholarly matters aboard. The right to maintain and manage a registrar of all Scholarly Guilds within the Crown Isle. The right to grant research rights to Scholarly Guilds within the Crown Isle, providing those research rights do not breach Regalian Law or good sensibilities. With such rights outlined, the Minister has begun by planning ahead into projects set for the future. These projects are intended to occur, but future changes in political climate may always prove to change the tides in program importance. Projects intended are listed below: Scholarly Guild Support Open communications with scholarly (Technological, Alchemical, Medical, etc.) guilds found within Regalia. Create an organized registry of these organizations. Provide avenues for these organizations to assist statewide research via the Academia Ministry. These guilds are recommended to get into contact with the Academia Minister or expect a request for a meeting in the near future. Financial and internal assistance will be offered in return for the agreement that all projects through the Academia Ministry are intended for the Regalian public. Education Development Further the implementation of better education throughout the Empire. Offer assistance to title-holding nobility that wishes to assist in this effort within their private lands. Continue expanding upon the current education program. This is an extension of House van Hal’s ongoing educational effort. Noble houses are recommended to contact the Academia Minster or expect a meeting request in the near future for discussing these efforts within their own lands; assistance, where needed, will likely be available. Medical Research Investigate possible treatments or cures for diseases within the Empire. Further research upon flora usages for medical and alchemical purposes. Medical and Alchemical guilds will likely be consulted in assisting with these investigations. Widespread illnesses (Pressman’s Syndrome, etc.) will be studied in an attempt to prove a cure, treatment, or cause in focus to better the overall health of the Empire. As a final note, the Academia Minister would like to clarify that this ministry exists for the betterment of Regalian understanding and is not, under any circumstance, a closed community. As such, anyone who has a topic suggestion is openly invited to pen the Minister for consideration. While ideas may be denied, many will be filed away for later investigation due to the importance of all avenues. All discoveries and findings will be published publicly unless deemed otherwise by the Lord Chancellor in the case of sensitive or dangerous material. Spirit Guide! I. Scholar Guild Support In an effort to further individual research within the Empire, the Academia Ministry is opening itself to aiding private guilds and industries across Regalia. As such, the following organizations have pledged themselves to the Ministry in return for specialized rights to assist their research and studies: The Technochemical Guild Headed by Digmaan Cro-Maarx Vyzal and focused on the advancement of Alchemical Studies and Mundane Technology. Granted the rights to: [To be approved by the Lord Chancellor] The Engineer's Guild Headed by Grand Duke Abelhard Petrou, partnered with the [Latimer Technological Safeguard], and focused on the advancement of Mundane Technology. Granted the rights to: [To be approved by the Lord Chancellor] The Regalian Alchemical Guild Headed by Ladyship Roselyne Howlester and focused on the advancement of Alchemical Studies. Granted the rights to: [To be approved by the Lord Chancellor] Those that misuse their privileges as Registered Guilds, whether that be the leaders or members breaking Regalian Law, performing Empire-endangering projects, or other logically concerning actions, will be stripped of their rights and removed from this register. In return, the Academia Ministry makes the following promises to these scholarly guilds, and any future ones, to assist in their research and expansion: Allowing an Open-Door Policy between these organizations and the Academia Ministry for any ideas, projects, and avenues they wish to pursue. To provide funding during approved projects, ideas, and avenues. To assist with assembling research teams and supplies, as able. To aid in reaching specialized permissions or information, to the best of the Ministry's ability.
