I'm not exactly sure what made me decide to post this at 11:00 at night but maybe its a sort of thank you for all those people that have influenced me along my way. I guess I'll start off with a super long story.
I've actually been a part of the massive community for a little over a year or so. I first came to the server in search of a role-play server after all my other favorites shut down. Massive has been one of the only larger scale servers I've played on and actually enjoyed my time with. Before Massive I stuck to small servers with tight knit communities, mostly because those larger servers just didn't have that. When I saw an ad for MassiveCraft I decided Id go ahead and give it a go as I had almost completely given up on the entire platform. After a pain staking process of just trying to figure out the role-play and trying my best not to be too much of a noob, I saw a portal to the factions world. My curiosity got the best of me and I stepped through, landing in New Ceardia with some iron armor and absolutely no clue how any of this worked. I started about by probably griefing some random build and spamming gen chat with hopes of finding a fac. After no help from anyone, I got a message from @Billingsgate (who sadly has gone inactive but we still keep in touch) he invited me into Novorra. That's where I got my first look at how factions worked and how the community was based. He gave me a quick tour and I met some of the other Novorra members. After about a week of staying fairly close to bill as I still had no clue what I was doing, I met @BuddhaKuddha . He was a sarcastic, (slightly inappropriate at times
) King of Novorra, leading with Bill.
After weeks of hard work building and mining and gathering resources for the faction I was given an officer rank. With my little amount of experience of even leading a faction, I started off my new journey of guiding an entire faction. Soon I became a part of the inner circle of officers (Myself, bill, buddha, ant and rin) We were a tight knit group who supported each other and it really gave me a new type of family that I knew would always support me, through some of my best times, and some of the worst. We fought wars, hid during raids and built together. There were revolutions and mass mutinies against the leadership, fights between us, and inside jokes, we were basically a family. I soon became a duke of a small village named doveport and things were looking up. I realized I wanted to give something else a go and try out a new part of factions for a bit. Being in Novorra PvP was never a big part of our life so I decided I'd join one of the largest PvP fans on the server, Belegost. And although honestly I still do suck at PvP I enjoyed my time there. After roughly a month I came back to Novorra and regained my officer status and things were looking back up to normal. Then the reset hit me like a freight train.
I was on a rafting trip when the news hit me and frankly I was a bit scared of what would happen to my faction and our "family". But now that the reset has already happened I'd say I'm actually more happy that it did happen. I wouldn't have been able to get to know so many other people, during the end of the world parties and the firework celebrations.
After the reset, with the help of Bill, Buddha and Brent, we started Novorra up for the third time. Made a small base, a little storage bay and not much else. We were just trying to recruit as much as we could. Two month's in and Novorra splits up, two of our officers go separate ways and Bill decides its time for him to leave. He gave me the choice of either becoming the King Of Novorra or giving it up for Buddha. Honestly I gave it up for Buddha, not because I didn't think I could handle it or I didn't trust my own judgement, I just knew it wouldn't have been right to steal the throne from Budd.
And now as it turns out I'm queen of Novorra, something I wasn't really expecting but I'll take it. Novorra is still alive and thriving despite our wars and many disputes with other factions. And yes Ive made my fair share of enemies but I've also made some real friendships that I can tell won't be giving up on me anytime soon.
So I'd like to thank all the people who have ever supported me on the server, both before and after the reset.
Firstly the entire server has changed my a lot from who I used to be, I came on as slightly depressed, not very confident in myself and lacking the ability to make any long lasting connections with people. So thank you for really helping me improve myself. First and foremost @BuddhaKuddha You've been there for me since the very beginning and we've helped each other through so much, relationships, that weird seasonal depression that decides to show up when you least expect it and all the Novorran drama (trust me, there's quite a bit) so thank you for being one of my greatest friends here on massive. @Billingsgate You were my guiding light when I first got here and I know we'll still be close for ages to come. @Megamon ever since the reset we seem to have grown close, I'm honestly not even sure how we became friends but Im so glad I got a chance to meet you, you're a great friend. @falconhand someone I honestly didn't like much until after the reset and I got some real interaction with you. I have to say at first I was hesitant to even interact with because I was trying to take your land so Novorra could grow on one of your islands, but I'm so glad I decided to cool it for a bit and finally warm up to you, so thank you for being there for me. @EternallyDarkX I'm not sure when we started to get close but we did and Im so glad it happened because I got to meet such an amazing person and you've honestly made a real impact on me. @mcmann Zan Zan before the reset I think I may have take dot you once but now that we've finally gotten a chance to talk, I'm glad that I decided to start chatting with you in that discord vc, regardless of my very tired brain. You've been there to support me through thick and thin and I hope our relationship can only get better from here
. @Jalapeno690 We met when you were an officer in Novorra and since then I've gotten to know you better and I feel like you've made an impact on me as well, I hope we can grow closer as the server drama continues to drag on. @lunarepiphany I'm honestly not even sure if you'll ever read any of this but I still made sure to include ya. We've been through some pretty rough times together we've laughed and we've cried, and I wish we could go back to being friends, I hope you decide to come back soon. @ANT1D0T3 We've been through a whole heck of a lot of drama together, so much its honestly amazing but I still thank you for being so supportive even with all the times my own names has been dragged through the mud and I hope one day we too can go back to being friends. @Brentorockz I know we've never gotten super close but I still want to thank you for the impact you've made on me and how much you've helped out, thank you. @VonZane Ever since wrath we've been pretty close, and I know over the past few months we haven't talked in a while, and I hope we can fix that. Thank you for being there for me. @Herecy you probably won't read this much either but I'll still out it here because even though you tried to get me to join wrath so many times and the amount of times I wondered why you even kept me around, I'm glad we met. @MokeDuck Wow before the reset we were fairly hardcore enemies so Im glad Ive got the chance to see the other side of you and your faction and how you've been so inspiring and welcoming. @Emkaloua You were so welcoming when I joined Aieralyne for the first of many times and Im so glad we got a chance to meet, and I hope we can grow closer. @Brit<3 I know I'm probably the worst at being a constant role-player but through thick and thin you've stuck with me for some reason so im so grateful we got to become friends. @DominicMorgen We never talk anymore and its probably mostly due to my lack of roleplay in the last couple of months but ever since I started roleplaying in House Winslough, you've dragged me along into all your side projects and Im glad we got the chance t become friends, I hope we get a chance to talk more. @Sir_Daragon Ever since you randomly decide to be a part of Novorra we've been friends and joked about all kinds of stupid stuff. Im happy to call you a friend.
Well that about wraps that up, Im not leaving or anything, I just wanted to show all the people who have shown me my place in the community, how much they've impacted me and I hope to make even more friends as the years go by.
Thank you for endearing through all this and all my drama.
