Thank you Massivecraft, for taking me on an adventure that I would have never dreamed up on my own. I have come and went, but in all of that it's time to reflect. I joined this server 3 and a half years ago and it has really gone by. I remember running through the port of Ceardia and bumping into TaxEvasion who laughed at me as I was new.
I then proceeded to ask if I could join Revolution, which I then was greeted with "Yo, did you just blow in from stupid town?" What an outrageously ridiculous faction, but it really is what led to my other escapades. I went from an explorer to a merchant to an info broker, making up lore for my character so convoluted that only I could only understand it. I made tons of friends and embarrassed myself in front of the staff, and only I could continuously talk about stuff I was interested in for hours in General chat with absolutely no one caring whatsoever.
Friends also disappeared, but I always made new ones and held on to the important ones. The community here was funny and welcoming, leading me to various factions and down roleplay rabbit holes that usually ended up with me getting (almost) killed. I remember when Tin Plans were my kind of thing.
This is just a little post to say thank you to the staff and the community for building such a great server. I'm not really going to be active for a while, so I thought I'd look back with nostalgia. The world that has been built was so creative and fun to be a part of, that I never could stay away for too long. I'll be back, I always come back.
Of course, I'll post something when I finish that little novel inspired by this place. And when I mean inspired, I realize at this point that really means it's based off a lot of the roleplays I took part of and not the actual lore itself. It's deviated too far from the norm that it's hard to actually call it an accurate tale of Aloria. A majority (But not all) of the names of things have been changed, and I based few characters off actual players (I think a total of only three active players have a major role in it).
But that's not important right now. I'll see you later Massive, and thanks for being the server that stood out from all of them. The true roleplaying experience that I'll probably never forget. And that's why I need to give thanks.
