Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams

It was a quite night when Anna went for a walk. Peaceful and cold, the perfect weather for her. She walked around the never sleeping city with a smile, a coat drapped around her shoulders to keep her relitively warm. Her boots made silent thumping sounds on the stone as she passed the Golden Willow, pausing at the front staircase.

She looked up at the building, pondering if she should drink away her sorrows once more. Though she frowned at her thoughts. The elf brought her hands up to run through her now shorter hair, she turned on her heels and silently went to the park.

It felt good to walk for once. She had been cooped up in her house for the past two weeks due to her injury and quite frankly, she hated it. She felt useless during those weeks. She was a Shield guard and had not done her duty for quite a long time. She released a loud sigh, rubbing at her eyes as she glanced about the flowers and the trees.

Perhaps it was good that she took a break from her busy life. She spent it with her lover and she realized that she could be happy out of her suits of armor. She had people to care for now and even others to help.

A smiled graced her pink lips as she made her way back to main Street. Though she stopped along the way to pick up a box from her house. She stared at the box as she stood by her door, considering if she should drop it off. She shook her head and reached to unlock the door again but.. only to find it locked.

Infact, the moment she had touched the box Regalia seemed to stand still. The object in the box slithered out and began to wrap around her. A snake - a hostile one at that. She began to wrestle with it, eyes wide as she was rendered helpless, arms being tangled within the bunch. And the visions came.

Oh how they poured into her mind. Unable to help her friends and conrades as they faced death and tyranny. New faces and old. Her mother, father, Alban, Nikita, Julius, Amelia, anyone who she held so dearly to her heart.

Her vision grew hazy, breathing sped up. The visions only got more graphic, deaths and injuries in all forms and ways. And... Suddenly, the Altalar sat up. Tears seemed to have streamed as she glanced to the other side of the bed. Her lip quivered slightly as she reached to rub at her eyes.

She was okay. She was always going to be okay. Or.. for now, at least. She breathed in and out, relaxing slightly as her elbows rested on her thighs. She had tried not to disturb the sleeping figure next to her as she gently slid back under the covers. Anna cuddled close to her partner and only frowned as she spoke to herself.

"Sweet dreams, Anna."

I got bored so I decided to write. It's terrible i know c:
