The Black Marsh originates from the western coasts of Essalonia, within the salt marshes, bogs, and swamps native to the region. The swarm is Scorrico - based, and in truth works more like a guild than a traditional pack - where members often gather for work, for community, and most of all, for protection.
| Purpose |
The Scorrico of the Black Marsh gather for protection in numbers - but this is not the only reason. Swarm members are often accepted into the community as close brothers and sisters, given shelter, assistance in hunting, tools for their trade, and more. The swarm accepts and nourishes those looking to join its structure in hopes of creating a better society for the hard-working Scorrico.

The Black Marsh is a meritocracy, where hard work reaps good rewards. The leader is the Swarm Lord, who finds work, directs job flow, settles disputes, manages hive production, and more. As it stands, Lucas Twee is the Swarm Lord of the Black Marsh. Further structures and titles are created as needed by the Swarm Lord. Only Scorrico are accepted into the swarm.
