put a piece of diamond armor in your crafting menu with a dye to change the armor skin.
Their are as many armor skins as their are dye's eventually.

deep see diving suits, racial armor (armor tailored to represent the Agni, Dwarfs, Elves and other races), Crusader type armor, demon type armor, ninja type armor and other things that would make massive craft much more interesting.

Be cool to have a deep see diving suit with respiration on it. Ore Agni armor with Fire protection added to it.

This will also increase premium fashion.
I also think ti would be cool to add colored trim to iron armor with die.

The different diamond armor textures would only be visible with the massive craft texture pack, else would just look like regular diamond armor.[DOUBLEPOST=1365652029,1365651907][/DOUBLEPOST]If this gets popular maybe we can even make it so different colored leathers make different armors like a brown an white leather apron ore medieval town clothing and maybe 3 colors for party clothing for a ball.

Requires creation of new items, not possible with a bukkit plugin.

However it could be changed so different colors of leather armour have a different look. As this is not creating any new items only editing the texture pack (I think)

What you propose is out of the range of a texturepack, sadly. What you describe is working with a trick that only works on blocks (yes, we make use of that...a lot), a so called connected texture feature that allows you to change the texture based on metadata (or damagevalues). Sadly, this does not work neither on items nor on armour because of the fact, that the metadata changes with the enchantment you give it. Thats why the authors of optifine and mcpachter decided against this methode.

a good idea, sadly not possible :/
