Suaria is a cheery, happy-go-lucky sort of person. She sees it as her life's work to bring joy to those around her through either entertainment or genuine alliance. She holds her friends close, and finds it hard to let go. | It's not often that one may see Ria in a sour mood. She is hard to anger, and easy to please. A gentle giant of sorts, she prefers to comfort those around her than she does picking fights with others. | Ria enjoys working and getting paid, as she has a desire to spoil those closest to her. While she doesn't have any major life goals, she sees no problem with taking each day as it comes, so long as she gets to make someone smile every time she wakes. |

Backstory
Thalorion Solsydaal was a man whose reputation as a strict and disciplined leader preceded him. He commanded a large fleet in the Regalian navy, and his presence alone could bring a sea battle to a swift end. Yet, there was a secret no one knew, not even his closest comrades. The admiral had been awe struck by the presence of the Arken known as Happiness. Thalorion had been drawn to her one fateful evening, seeking solace in her charm after a particularly grueling battle. After their time together, Thalorion found himself charged with the care of an arkenborn daughter, a girl who he named Suaria after his own grandmother.
Her childhood was spent on naval vessels, learning the ways of the sea and the art of warfare. But it wasn't just the military drills that shaped her—it was the ocean. Whenever she would sit by the shore, Suaria would feel a connection, almost a conversation, between herself and the vast expanse of water before her. She had a deep desire to see more of it, and every moment on a ship was a moment she spent in joy. As soon as she was of age, she enlisted in the Regalian military, and trained dutifully until she was a ranked member of the navy. While she enjoyed the feeling of doing right by her father and his teachings however, there was a sense of freedom and adventure that called to her. She never truly felt dedicated to warfare, her stomach not the strongest in the face of battle.
At 26, Suaria chose to leave the rigidity of the navy and strike out on her own. Her departure came as a shock to her father, who had always envisioned her following in his footsteps, commanding fleets rather than working the seas as a merchant. But Suaria's heart had always leaned toward trade, exploring distant shores and creating connections between people across the oceans. She sought out opportunities to ferry goods between distant lands, trading exotic items from the farthest reaches of the continent.
Her merchant ship was the SV Thalassa, a nimble vessel that glided gracefully through the water, carrying rare treasures and the promise of profitable ventures. Over the years, she built a reputation for being as formidable in the business world as she was on the water, her steel resolve tempered by an innate understanding of the sea's unpredictable nature. At 30, a turning point came in Suaria's life when the captain of the Thalassa, a seasoned sea merchant named Captain Eryndor, decided to retire. Eryndor had watched Suaria's rise through the ranks of the merchant world and recognized something special in her. One evening, as the sun dipped beneath the horizon, he took her aside on the deck.
Eryndor spoke of his decision to step down, the time having come to pass on the mantle to someone who could steer the ship through both treacherous waters and prosperous seas. As he placed a golden necklace—once his own and now passed down to her—around her neck, he said, "A captain is not just a leader of men, Suaria. She is the embodiment of her ship. The ocean doesn't yield to the unworthy, but it welcomes those who honor it."
The golden fish pendant, which had once been gifted to Eryndor in his own youth, now became Suaria's most prized possession—a symbol of her hard work and dedication, and of the earned right to her new title as captain.
Under her command, The SV Thalassa became one of the most successful merchant vessels on the high seas, renowned not just for its speed and size but for the cunning mind that guided it. She founded a merchant company named Thalassian Ventures, which quickly became a name to reckon with in the trading world. Her business wasn't just about goods—it was about building relationships, ensuring that each trade carried the promise of trust and mutual respect.
