Spirit Guide.

The group of pelted men stalked through the Regalian outbacks in silence, most of them unfamiliars to the only Peirgarten amongst the group, the rest were simply hired to call out various animals, some others were relative friends of the family. The snow was heavy as they marched further into the wilderness, white piles on their shoulders. The dogs they had were kept close to the keeper, sniffing the ground tightly as the trees folded over one another as a heavy wind struck, leaves upturning. One of the trackers ran back from within the trees, gesturing the group of hunters over as he explained in a monotone voice the herd of elk only a short distance away, his voice sounding hoarse considering the conditions. Hansen's gaze traversed down to his pocket-watch which had a small portrait of his wife, Marie, and his only son Elroy within… he examined over it a minimal distance as some of his friends jested out various digs about the nobleman. Giving off an amused huff the troupe of archers made their way to the vantage point, spotting the wild elk make their own slow distance east, though these elk made a stop to get an icy drink from the fast spewing river that extended about the mountain. Hansen was first up, knocking an arrow he looked over his friends and workers, speaking out "Don't be too jealous." as his eyes narrowed, firing the arrow straight on as it wisped through the air, striking one of the elk right in the abdomen. Unsurprisingly, the elk fled, blood soon trailing within the white snow behind him.

"Well there boss, nice shot… though this means we have to walk a bit more." stated one of the callers, patting Hansen on the shoulder as the nobleman's lips pried into a smirk, mounting the bow over his right arm. "Alright, let's get to it before the wolves do." stated Hansen, moving onwards as his party followed in his tracks.

Not too long after the snow ramped up, and snow was piling down within the forest outbacks of the Crown City, dangerous conditions as they winded upon the bled out stag, laying there snow-covered. "Seem's he's gotten the life out of him, nice hit Hansen." spouted one of the Velheim in the back as Hansen began to gut the stag on the spot with a knife before one of the staff members called out "Sir, sir! It's getting to bad out of here, we must head back!" the smaller looking man shouted, though certainly muffled by the wind. Everyone mutually agreed it would be time to leave as Hansen finished up with the stag, placing the meats and furs within a large bag and slinging it over his shoulder as he stood up, turning to face the leaving party.

Within a matter of seconds, Hansen was once again on the floor- though this time he was gasping for air. There was an arrow lodged within his chest, and the party moved onwards- not seeing the Peirgarten, nor even hearing him as his cries for help were drowned out by the winds. Their darkened shadows leaving his sight as the man attempted to drag himself onwards, though of course, the arrow went straight through him. He eyed around, his green eyes flickering about the wilderness as he looked for someone, anyone- the shooter even as suddenly a man sprouted from the darkness. A simple commoner with a red hat on yelped as he came upon the body, quickly rushing over and putting pressure on the wound as Hansen's eyes glossed over, grabbing the man by the collar, attempting to speak, "S--mmn. You- get me /home/." he muttered out although hoarsely, still with a tone of certainness as the man began to drag him, his own blood trailing shortly behind him.

Hansen's gaze blackened, a sudden yellow- and bright light overtook his entire vision, as if the storm was no more, and a sudden warmth cast over him. Within this light there were four figure-like shadows, the first who presented themselves as a rather short Anglian girl, leaning over with a smile on her face as she spoke words collectiveness, uncontrollably easing the senses of the dying man. She spoke of the past, and the future, she assured him that it was going to be alright before fading away into nothingness, though her essence still made it feel as if she was still in front of him. Hansen's features were one of expression confusion before a four-foot tall boy skipped in front of him, sporting black hair and green eyes, this boy spoke out his own future, and the impact his father would have on him. The boy gave off a toothy laugh and seemingly, just like the Anglian girl vanished into nothing, though it felt as if he was still there, a feeling that Hansen couldn't yet wrap his head around. This mirage was completed by the remaining two walking up, two Velheimers spoke of solely their past, behind the scenes played out of Hansen's childhood as they told of grand adventures as teenagers and young adults. The background dissipated, and Hansen's eyes opened to be reinvited to the world in which he was being carried, a world that seemed so distant even in the short span of time that his visions occurred it was the only thing that seemed normal to him anymore, the warmth of the place filled with this grand light was the only place he felt safe. His gaze panned about the snowy forests as he grabbed ahold of the tired man that dragged him, the man was balling his eyes out and Hansen spoke completely, and in a solemn tone as he reached around his neck to rip the pocket-watch that hung there, handing it to the red-hatted man, stating "You leave me /here/… if you don't we will both die, tell my family that I love them, do you understand me? Tell Marie I'm sorry and tell my son..mmng-" he drifted off, hardly recovering his vision which seemed to spin and then finally, nothing.

OOC:
This was a way for me to end a rather long-running character that I've been persistently putting on the backburner. This isn't edited, nor is it probably my best writing, but Hansen Peirgarten, ex-Viduggla, has passed away in a hunting accident within the outbacks of Regalia. This knowledge would only be open to House Peirgarten at first.

It was late at night, the sky was filled with a plethora of vibrant stars glowing their life away as time faded along. The wind allowing a quiet melody to play as a small baby boy with curly raven hair and rosy pale skin and eyes as green as a wealthy forest cooed in his sleep within a cot that was rocking side to side with a constant and slow pattern.
Marie Peirgarten had been teaching her daughter, Cecilia, how to properly care for Elroy when she'd be absent or for any other possible situation, allowing the younger raven haired Peirgarten with green eyes to fumble about with a small baby bottle containing nothing but the clear air.
"Look! Mama, I can do it. You've told me enough. How hard can it even be?"
inclined Cecilia as she was just about to reach for Elroy who was resting in his cot, cooing away his troubles with nothing but banana bread in his dreams.
"You wouldn't want to wake up a child that's getting a good nights rest, right Cecilia?"
Marie looked Cecilia up and down with a grin and shook her head. Cecilia had paused just as she was about to reach for Elroy, slouching back with a defeated sigh of pure teen angst.
"Wait for him to wake. That is when you gently pick him up and feed him the bottle, dear."
"What if he's hungry now?"
"If he was, he'd be cryin-"

With a loud crash and horrifying stomps emitting from the stairs, a hunter with a red hat that had accompanied Hansen's party bolted to Marie's room, and without hesitation, barged on in huffing and sweating like a madman.
"Lady Marie! Lady Marie! Oh.- Oh.. Oh no."
The hunter continued to pant, slicking his ginger waves behind his ears with his left hand as he allowed his right hand to rest on the door's frame. He took his merry time trying to regain what was once in his lungs, though bore a pained and shocked expression as his eyes flickered about the room.
"You've got some serious stones for nearly breaking my door you dog. What is it."
"Your husband! The hunt-"
"What of the hunt? Out with it."
Marie's demeanor quickly shifted into one of sheer annoyance, swiveling about her heel to face the hunter. Arching a brow in question as she decided to endure the man's lack of manners.
"He- he is dead, Lady Marie. An arrow- it hit him! I'm so sorry, we tried! We tried! It all happened so quick- he fell.. He- he.."
Cecilia immediately tossed the bottle at the hunter and ran out of the room, squeezing past the sweaty man blocking the doorway with loud sobs of honest tears. Her gloved hands covered her eyes as the poor Peirgarten exited the Estate soon after with a loud 'BANG' given by the door.
"Cecilia! - What have you done?! You come and give me lies, make my child run and cry- nearly wake my son. And attempt to curse me with this knowledge?! I'll have your tongue for spreading such lies!"
The said hunter knitted his brows together and released an exhausted huff, shaking his head side to side. Marie marched towards the man, grabbing him by the collar to merely toss him out of her room. Though, instead of slamming the door shut on the poor man, she followed him out and closed the door behind herself.
She believed the man to be insane, dehydrated or even disoriented. It was a hunt he returned from after all. She merely thought the man was either drunk or high desired nothing more than to screw around with someone vulnerable.

"I saw it! He told me to come, I-"
The man paused, reaching into his pockets to pull out a pocket watch, offering it out to Marie.
"Liar! Liar! This is one of those situations, yes? You go out there and /fetch my husband!/"
Marie paused at the sight of the watch, a sudden tremble invading her angered state. Quotes and phrases slithered their way into her head.

"Thank you for taking care of Elroy during my hiatus."
"I love you, Marie. You, and only you."
"Don't worry about me. I'm Hansen. I'll just shove a bottle of whiskey in his hand and tell him to fuck off."
"You want my banana bread? You can't even find it!"
"Talk to me at our secret spot, you seem down today."

The hunter's voice snapped the Peirgarten out of her brief trance.
"He is /gone/! His body went under the snow- we couldn't get him!"
With that, Marie turned to retire back into her room. Slamming the door shut on the hunter as he was left behind in the hallway. Marie leaned against the bookshelves and slid down the novels neatly stacked in place. First, the woman trembled. Digging her nails into her pale palm as confusion, sorrow and anger took its toll. Then, she released a yell with little care of Elroy being fast asleep just mere footsteps away from her, sobs emitting from her accompanied by tears trickling down her features.
"Peirgarten is cursed with death!-"
Sobs prevented her from practically yelling out her words, she buried her head in between her knees and had her episode. To make things worse, Elroy had awakened: hungry and unfed, releasing his own set of cries.
More and more of Hansen's words flooded her mind like a plague, she had no escape from any of it.

"Come back to me, okay?"
"It'll be alright. I'll deal with them."
"I'm going to war, Marie. I'll be alright. Hell, I'll even bring something back for you."
"Keep this ring. Consider it a... Promise ring. I promise I'll return."

"Damn this house and its horrid luck! Damn it! Damn it all! Is it true I cannot be blessed with a father for my children?!"
Marie merely sat in place as a sobbing mess. She was alone once more and she knew that with no clouds of doubt in her way. She knew a horrid ending was soon to fall upon her husband.
