His father, Gideor Valdemar, taught him the importance of respecting others, even those of lesser status. 9 – 13: Due to his wealthy status, he was accepted easily into the School of Lancyon, where he trained with glaives and spears. Soren trained for six years, with hardy instructors who reinforced faith-based fighting. After he graduated, he celebrated with a few of his friends, which he had made during his training. 13 – 14 He even found a lover, Tristil Yaristora, who he was with for two years. Soren and Tristil were about to initiate an engagement, but Tristil died from a Vampire attack merely days before. Soren was devastated, about her loss and the fact that he was there and did nothing due to his own fear. He reclined from society even more than when he was young, fearing to lose more loved ones. 14 – 22 He joined the Wards of Fae order, and sought to protect people like Tristil. He trained for seven years, without fail and with a grudging determination. He became a sturdy fighter, who sought to defend more than attack. His life ambition is to remove the divide between races, and to protect those who can’t protect themselves (A bit of symbolism; the reason he uses spears and glaives to keep and enemy away, represents how he pushed people who loved him away from youth. 22 – 24 Soren has taken a fancy to arts, and finds himself lost in cooking and tapestries.
