Alright I have only been on this server for about 2 1/2 days and I have already come to a sad realisation. This server has possibly the crappiest community in the entire world. We just joined the teamspeak and we make a "privated" channel. Someone impersonated one of our members and got the password, proceeded to tell the entire group what the password was I joined our channel. I can get names later but as of right now I have a recording of what they have said and done. Now they are going through names poking us trying to get our password. I want this to end. I will not be posting the recording rather I will send it to mods. Please notify me if you need the file.

After you get the name/names, please post in Server Rule Enforcement - Report a Player in a new thread. I'm sorry to hear that you have had this bad experience. Unfortunately, one person can make a large group look bad.

That's not a very nice thing to say... but lets face it, those were a few members, not all of them. I had a rough start in the beginning too, but all servers are that way. Getting to know the community for more than 3 days will be worth it. Trust me on this one.

As stated above, in a sea of gamers you'll always encounter some trolls. We aren't all that bad, you just have to talk to the folks who aren't a pain in the arse (Not speaking for myself ;) ).

We had a similar issue with two people, not naming names here but you know who you are, impersonating two members of the Consortium and using their ID to send homophobic hate messages to our friend.

This is not new and we have seen similar actions from the usual suspects, ahem, this need to be looked into and perhaps some logs reviewed? Regardless of the reporting source, this type of anti-social and perhaps even psychopathic action needs to be reviewed before it cause further harm to the community at large.

As a result of this being repeated, continuous and unrelenting, we have taken the step of offering our faction members a private space off the massivecraft.com teamspeak until it can be better moderated to protect the young and vulnerable and to prevent discriminatory, unsavory and racist propaganda being uttered without consequence to parties who are obviously trying to be separate from the general chat or open channels. We have become tired of changing our password every few days because of this. I hope the TS admin and mods can come up with a solution to prevent this from running more rampant than it is currently. If there is a lack in coverage in TS moderators perhaps the position can be advertised specifically and for all timezones so there is someone on TS at all times to sort out issues when they occur. A basic code of conduct set of rules could be drawn up, made available in game, and enforced with penalties that are applicable to the TS but also into game should the action warrant it. Using someone's name to send hate messages is a serious issue.

Some things should not be happening that are, it has been going on long enough and something need to be done about it.

Never hand out passwords through team speak. Nicknames ruin the credibility of players. Share your passwords in your faction, if you want security, and change them on occasion, perhaps doing a rotation.

Let me state that recently your faction started to enemy the most popular factions on the server. This went so far as to "iOwnThat" coming to my faction of Osai and killing a few of my non-premiums without warning or hesitation. He refused to give an explanation why, even today. I spoke with the leader instantly afterwards and had the issue cleared up, and we are truced now, but I was unable to intervene with the other factions. Ultimately, the actions and words from your faction mates brought this kind of behavior on you.

I would seek out better friends and faction members in this case or plead to the leader. He seems reasonable.

You consider your self popular?

BornaSepic its not considering if its true. Nearly everyone has heard "Osai" like once on their time here. Perhaps mindlessly killing people coming to a halt will help you know us better.

I'm sad to hear that way, but as many people are. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Try to hang out with other members and players who aren't trolling and change your ts password more often in this case also as it is mentioned above make sure you only hand out passwords to people you know/members of your faction.

conrad721 first off, saying a server has a crappy community is not a good way to make new friends on it. This teamspeak accident is unfortunate, but you could have taken more precautions. If you do manage to get the name of the player, please report it and the staff will deal out a nessacery punishment.

I have always been interested in Osai.... How are people able to join?

I think you just get an officer to invite you. Either that or I have a really, really, bad memory.

It's a pity that this happened to you and I hope it gets cleared up. Regardless of how many factions you've enemied or how popular they are, no one should need to feel as if the server dislikes them and no one should be harassed even in their private speaking areas.
