Introduction:
Ill keep the introduction short because this is going to be a big post: I am creating a Territory/Location map of the Slums for crime use, and I have a ton of cinematic screenshots of locations that need names. Im going to post the screenshot, list off notable things in the area, and where it is roughly, and let players suggest names for the locations. The most popular names will be used in the final Territory Map post. If a place doesn't get any suggestions, or the ones are meme-tier mess, Ill just pick a name I think is fitting, but I'd rather things be named by other people.
Locations:
Loc-1
Details: By the gate, tree of hanging corpses, small clearing.
Loc-2
Details: South of gate along wall. Overhang with fire, benches, and an anvil. Possible make-shift NPC forge.
Loc-3
Details: Clearing where the old Hole used to be (the one that lead into the Outskirts district). Further south of Loc-2.
Loc-4
Details: Clearing before the gate into the Red-Roof district. Right at the South-East corner of the slums.
Loc-5
Details: Small intersection along the South Wall of the slums, behind the stairs is the passage into the tunnel to the Noble District.
Loc-6
Details: Bridge crossing the first canal along the South Wall, clear view of the south side of the Emporium. Bottleneck location.
Loc-7
Details: A little West of Loc-6, make-shift crossings over several ditches, including a creepy alleyway.
Loc-8
Details: Further West from Loc-7. Cloth-draped tree with ladder and 'treehouse'. A large intersection. Small pit with heads on pikes.
Loc-9
Details: Intersect North of Fort Blackhollow (Castle in the South West Corner of the slums), marked with a well.
Loc-10
Details: Intersect and Western Gate out of the slums. Place where Jochund the Beggar King was captured.
Loc-11
Details: Unnamed church along the West Wall, between the Western Gate and the Aqueduct. Small poorly-kept graveyard, and an overpass of shadey crimeyness.
Loc-12
Details: Enclave just past the Aqueduct along the West Wall, features an underpass with a fire and benches, as well as a bridge over a canal.
Loc-13
Details: Stairs up the Aqueduct, featuring various fires, ditches, and other things. A choke-point for the Aqueduct housing and base.
Loc-14
Details: An intersection North-West ish of the Emporium (seen in the background on the left), little of note besides possible strategic location.
Loc-15
Details: Another corpse-tree by the aqueduct, featuring a campfire, a mud-pit mess, and some cool looking buildings. Mainly noteworthy for strategic location.
Loc-16
Details: Right-Angle canal near the Emporium, with a base on both sides. Another cinematic and strategic location, not many doors open to this stretch.
Loc-17
Details: The park-esk location under the Aqueduct, very beautiful, with scattered benches and such.
Loc-18
Details: The overgrown market-esk area, surrounding the large altar-esk build with a portal to the Dream place that used to be for Evergrowth mages or something. Near the North Wall on the way to the Vampire gate.
Loc-19
Details: Nook with fire and benches along the East Wall.
Loc-20
Details: Intersection right before the Vampire Gate, with a well.
Loc-21
Details: underpass along the East Wall heading back towards the Slums Gate from the Vampire gate.
Loc-22
Details: Enclave and road along the East Wall headed towards the Slum gate from the Vampire Gate. large shaded area with makeshift work-station.
Loc-23
Details: Dangerous crossing blocking the path between the Vampire gate and Slums Gate. Possible but dangerous to cross.
Loc-24
Details: Enclave hidden along the walls in a nook north of the Slums gate, with a large dead tree and overhangs.
Already-Named Locations:
These locations are being listed as they are used as reference for other locations' location. They have names already and dont need any.
Fort Blackhallow
Details: The gang base in the South West corner of the slums, as the name implies it is a fort, and one of the more secured locations in the Slums.
The Aqueduct
Details: The large, raised-Aqueduct stretching from the Mountains, over the walls, and into the Slums. Features various housing locations.
The Aqueduct Base
Details: A fort-castle on top of the end of the Aqueduct. While run down, it is highly defensible, though also easy to lay siege to.
The Rat Court
Details: A large structure surrounded by old, burned housing. Once a temple to the Old Gods, its ruins have since been rebuilt and re purposed as a meeting hall for the Rat Court. Located in the North West Corner of the Slums.
The Cistern
Details: A large, erm, Cistern. Stretching under the Aqueduct and beyond a little ways. Featuring many bridges, and a base known as the Slaughter House, this is another of the most defensible locations in the Slums, Located right at its heart as well.
The Bath House
Details: Once an old Etosian Bath House, the ruins have since been converted by gangs into a base. It is located along the Northern Wall of the slums, by Loc-18.
The Vampire Gate
Details: The gate into the Vampire District, along the Northern Wall near the North-East Corner.
The Vampire District
Details: The Vampire District, located North of the Slums and only accessible through the Vampire gate. An extremely dangerous and hostile location, but also very well built and sturdy.
The Ruins
Details: Only accessible through the Vampire District, this district seems to have suffered a fire, and fallen into disrepair some time ago.
The Dark Lady Emporium
Details: A large, abandoned Cathedral converted into a retched hive of scum and villainy. And other businesses. MANY businesses. And a Bar. Located right through the Slums Gate (If you somehow miss it you need to stop playing games, your eyes have been turned to ash by the lights somehow).
The Slums Gate
Details: The main way in-and-out of the Slums, this gate is heavily fortified, with two thick gates, a large gatehouse, several towers, and walls forming a courtyard city-side, ensuring any large assaults out of the slums are squashed with ease.
To Suggest:
Simply respond to this thread with the Location (IE Loc-12) and a suggested name. be creative, dont name them after characters (Vague references are fine) and have fun! Ill be compiling the best in a week or two into a final Locations Listing.
