Otherwise, an old House Guard uniform. Height: 6’4”/195cm Morals | Within the confines of his actions, Shane is best defined as a Neutral Good. While he does preach and practice the laws he enforces, he does so out of necessity to keep his job and support his small family. Given ample reason though, he'd go so far as to break most of them, so long as it had a good outcome that he could see or if it were the good of his children. He feels no real loyalty to the cause of upholding the law, simply seeing it as a job that needs doing so he may be paid. Demeanor | When out and about, it's seen that he is a Champion sort of person. He usually despises moot tasks that could be done by someone beside him, or anyone at all really, complaining all the while he does them. While not complaining about a boring task, he usually is the one talking up a storm within the tavern. Be it retelling a story, complaining about something or other, or simply giving someone grief, it would be Shane's accented words going out first most of the time. His approach towards situations however are diplomatic usually, the Eriunin not exactly being keen on starting brawls or all out confrontations. Piety | Shane is a devout, yet closeted, follower of the Draoidh Feya. He believes in most of the things the All-Mother decrees, and through deliberation from years of staying within the Holy City, then he decided that the Spirit was probably another part of the All-Mother. All in all, he is about a 9 out of ten on how religious he is, internally if not externally. Which is about a 1 if not in the company of the most trusted people, as it's a bit heretical to believe the Spirit to be part of something greater. Spoiler: Weaknesses Shane is an addict when it comes to rum and Tabacca, the latter a more recent addiction he's taken up. He would more likely try and drink or smoke his problems away and attempt to forget than try to confide in someone, only for it to cause him more grief in the end. Thus causing him to want to drink, and a vicious cycle ensues. He usually smokes whenever he can so his nerves calm, and so he doesn’t shake in fear in most situations. Shane has, through mostly stress from his life, become sterile. This gives him a huge source of anxiety, and low appeal as a potential husband, which he knows too well. Spoiler: Personality and Abilities (Expanded) Shane tends to bite his pipe, or sigg when he smokes while he speaks to people. He usually just makes it go from side to side, just to keep himself focused. He usually stops doing so as people mention it, however within a minute or two he would go right back to biting the source of tabacca. Shane can play the Piano, having learned it in his time roaming about in Daendroque. He learned it while spending time in various bars and taverns, playing whatever was on hand at the time or just off the top of his head. Over the course of around 20 years of playing, he’s grown quite good at it. ╒═════════════════════════════════════════════════╕ ╘════════════════════════════════════════════════╛ Shane Marth was born April nineteenth, on Eriu Innis, in the year two hundred and sixty four AC. His parents were a solitary farming couple. His mother was a weak and frail woman, barely lasting the boy’s first decade in the world of Aloria. Her survival was not helped by Shane’s father, of whom beat the both of them. At the age of ten, Shane decided to run away from home to the port of Silledimmach, stowing away on a ship to Daendroc. He spent his first year confused, disoriented, and drifting through orphanages until an Altalar by the name of Cadwen sought to educate and take the young boy under his wing. Shane began to learn his first new language, Modern Elvish, building off his native language’s connection to the Elven dialect. On the boy’s fifteenth birthday, Cadwen and Shane set out into the small hamlet the two lived a little ways away from. Once there, Cadwen was blamed as the cause of death for a notable family’s son, whom in reality died of a birth defect. Shane’s first real father figure perished as a result of a lynching, of which Shane narrowly escaped himself. The Ériunin soon fled to a nearby mercenary group, and with his impulsive and temperamental nature, soon found himself within its ranks as a swordsman surgeon. He picked up knacks for languages and piano along the way, finding them to be his two main talents besides the blade. At around age twenty, Shane separated himself from the group and set out alone to wander the continent of Daen. He met loves, lost friends, and gained a good knowledge about the world around him. At age twenty eight, he met Merina Taliesin, a fellow Claith. The two grew close, and eventually declared themselves husband and wife according to Claithern custom. Shane gained the first children he’d know about, Cadwyn and Winifred Marth, with Merina. Soon after though, she deserted him, taking their toddler daughter with her. This left Shane alone to raise his son Cadwyn along the way in his travels. Shane raised Cadwyn as best he could while travelling as a hired guard, surgeon, pianist, or even linguist. His life was a meager existence save for his child during this interlude. At age thirty five, Shane’s genes began to betray him. Due to inbreeding by his ancestors, he became unable to sire another child, which he soon found out as he tried to settle down once more. This new wife left him because of this, leaving the man from Eriu-Innis struck with grief that he would never have a truly perfect family, with a wife and children. After raising Cadwyn on his own for so long, and after seeking a place to call his own and Cadwyn's, he sought out the Holy City. He however left Cadwyn in the care of the mercenaries he had run with for so long, promising to retrieve his son once he established himself. Soon enough, Shane sent word for Cadwyn, as he had found himself a stable job and home.
Review time! If a skill is included please take it out of a spoiler! The high pain tolerance talent could be percieved as powergaming and should be removed. If he is a doctor or skilled in medicine he should be in the school of medicine and include the skill! Thought all doctors must take an oath of non violence and therefor upon joining the stealthmark school he would lose his medical lisence At what age did he begin his stealthmark training? This should be included in the life story What level of stealthmark did he finish at? This should also be listed in the life story. The fighting style of the school he was trained in should not deviate from the norm, please remove that bit from the skill section! Make all edits in a new color and tag me once done!
All done, hopefully this will be alright. All things are done in red. @Rochelle_ Little update. Changed his body build from Muscular to Ripped to fit Stealthmark more.
Sorry for the late reply! I reccomend bumping his medicinal skill down a level to compensate for his combat, as his focus on a combat school would put a damper on what he recalls from medical schooling. That's all!
Update Time Changed skill level up to Champion, as well as the life story to compensate. Relationships touched up just a bit, nothing too important. Didn't mark them. Updates in GREEN @Rochelle_
Updated life story, relationships, and personality in one small area. Along with adding another talent, Knife Throwing.@Rochelle_
OH HOW DO I FORGET THESE AHHH IM SO SORRY CHILD. Okay so throwing daggers are fine, but I wouldn’t incorporate it into his fighting style due to throwing knives being completely different than the stealthmark fighting style.
@Rochelle_ ayyy it's that time of the day again where the potato needs rereviewing! Also thanks for pointing out Shane IS Lupin and thanks to @BeashSlap for aestheticizing this here boy
Hi! It's review time! You need to specify how many points are from bonuses, and how many are from his point pool, please! Languages cost 6 Linguistic points each, which means you may only have 2 additional languages, please edit this Please make these edits in a new color and tag me once done!
