• Childhood (0-15)
  • Ezekiel was born in the villages of the Cielothar to an Ailor and Ciellonian couple 1st March, 252AC. The first few years of his life were lived within this wilderness sanctuary, until eventually, his mother took ill, passing away. Struck with grief, Ezekiel's father, Guillermo, decided to move away from the painful reminders of his lover, and off towards the city of Hallonq.
  • Guillermo struggled for a great many years; running the family Locksmith and Jewellers, and raising an infant son.
  • As he grew older, Guillermo had him working behind the counter, helping out in any way he can. Such persisted until the shop closed when he was the young age of 9.
  • Left with no income, and no home, his father struggled to find the two a place to stay. Ezekiel was brewing a fever, and was set to get worse if he couldn't get proper rest. Left with little options, Guillermo turned to theft to afford the pair lodging, and to eventually pay for his son's medicinal care.
  • This started the man down the rabbit hole of no return, setting him up for a lifetime of crime. As time went on, he found himself involved with a gang in the city known as "The Requisition". Providing both he and his son shelter, food and pay, this is where Ezekiel spent the remainder of his childhood, picking up news here and there on the underworld workings of the criminal paradise.
• Early Adulthood (15-25)
  • As he came of age, it became expected of Ezekiel to get herself involved with the Guild's line of work. The Guild Master assigned him with a tutor; an Ailor known as Ernesto. He took him under his wing whilst his father was off taking coin, teaching him his ways of life, and eventually tutoring him in the School of Undercroft. The two became rather close, eventually undergoing her first job together; which went swimmingly, all things considered.
  • With the passing of time, his father became more and more distant, until he was sent off by orders of the Guild Master to another location, unknown to Ezekiel. This would mark the last time the two would meet.
  • With the absence of a fatherly figure, the Guild Master, Ernesto, took him under his wing, and began training him in sorceress ways; with Ezekiel adopting the craft with some difficulty. Quite predictably, he took to Darkness school, incorporating them into his profession with ease.
  • At the age of 18, Ezekiel would come to meet the Altalar Ciel'thrascae. He found himself smitten for the woman, unbeknownst of her Slizzar heritage. The two became good friends, and he was content with such for the meantime.
  • Ezekiel was becoming quite the prolific thief, executing whatever he was asked, with only minor slip-ups here and there. Soon, he and Ernesto added a handful more to their retinue, having quite the operational team on their hands.
• Adulthood (25-45)
  • Ezekiel rised to be Ernesto's right hand. The duo kept the Guild at a steady constant, but the lack of substantial growth agitated the Guild Master.
  • Eventually, the identity of Ciel came to fruition; showing her true self and Colluding with the halfling. By this point, they had become close friends, and he would follow the woman to the ends of the earth. They became as thick-as-thieves, regularly working together on various jobs.
  • Ciel and another guild member left wordlessly; the reasons unbeknowst to the halfling. Such destroyed his niave fragile mentality, leading him to a string of poor decisions.
  • They began becoming more and more aggressive with their tactics, hitting up high profile locations every second night or so.
  • Following a heist planned by the two gone wrong, Ezekiel was forced into a pact with an otherwordly entity known as the Valet; turning him into the greatest thief in excahnge for his identity. The man lost his name, unable to share it and his appearance with others, and in its place came new gifts from this alien labyrinthian world.
  • From this point forwards, Ezekiel's name would be abandoned, known only by the various street names afforded to him by his underlings in The Requisition. His newfound abilities allowed his reputation to even eclipse that of Ernesto.
  • Ezekiel began researching into magical artifacts from this point onwards, hoping that he never again falls into such a predicament. The man's research, for a time, became fannatical, earning himself a bit of kleptomania for all things magical and arcane. Such has since passed, but he still is very much so intrigued such goods; particularly their value.
  • Ciel and Ezekiel found themselves together once more, as she returned to the city of Hallonq; her beaten and battered from the fallout of the Chrysant Crisis. After some convincing and exchanging of increidbly personal details, he convinced her of his identity; the memories they shared still lingering in her mind, despite the name and appearance remaining forever absent. The two's relationships slowly budded into an uneasey romance; the man's gifts making any form of intimacy difficult. They continued with one another none-the-less. It was this that provoked the use of his iconic skull-mask, allowing it to act as an identifier for the identity-less.
• Recent Years (45-53)
  • Following the events of the Bone Horror Crisis, Ernesto met a cruel fate at the hands of the walking dead, with Ciel and Ezekiel barely making it out of the calamity with their lives. Their guild was not so lucky, however, being unable to immediately gather up their numbers.
  • Making off with the remains of the Guild's funds, the two bought passage on a ship, making off to the Holy City of Regalia, intent on recreating his lost group.
  • During his time in the city, Ezekiel found himself working with various criminal groups in the city. Such has allowed him experiences with strange forces, such as the Conduit.
  • Ezekiel grew close to a Kathar by the name of Sabellora, considering her like you would a sister. Through various jobs, they grew closer and closer.
  • With their new found cohort, Shadowman carried out a successful heist under a contract given to the Requisition by a mysterious Baldur character, later to be known as an Arken-like entity. The job, sadly, ended up somewhat more high-profile than intended, causing him and his crew to hide as the chaos blew over.
  • The next large job on their list was the Piergarten Castle, which ended up going south, and quick. Such lead to the death of Sable; a tragedy he still blames himself for, leading to a long-lasting sense of melancholy. With the guidance of Ciel, the man has worked towards freeing himself of her ghost, but it remains as an ever-present guilt.
  • Since, they have laid low, recouperating from the loss and planning for the next hit.
  • In the chaos of the Clicker Crisis, Shadowman and his beloved began building their criminal empire overseas, creating something to be truly proud of. However, an offer is brought to him by the Lich Lord of the Deep he simply couldn't refuse. He joins with the Solifuge Society on a global scale and alongside Xilthruum the Lich Lord and Varszira Zzazsei creates the criminal empire The Golden Triumverate.
  • After aiding in the fight against the Clickers when the Rift first opened outside the Cathedral, Shadowman ventures into the Chaos Realm with his Mage Master, Valarosta and new business associate Xilthruum. After fending off dopplegangers, sharing the abilities of the Mage, Upyr and Warlock, the crack team of criminals succeeded, paving a way for the true end of the Crisis to come about.
  • With his new found influence, Shadowman sent Requistion and Triumverate agents across the Archipelago, in search for more information on the mysterious Valet. Eventually, an agent returned with a catalyst, which momentarily connected him with the demon and evolved his powers, as well as stripping him from the downsides of the curse, albeit only for brief spurts of time.
  • After recieving an invite from Valarosta, the Shadowman joined the Crookback Council, seeking to bolster a more "legitimate" claim to the Bay. The road has been bumpy, and perhaps not as smooth as he desired. After brewing conflicts, the creature has turned to old allies as he seeks to battle the new.
