The problem is the amount of lag we will experience, we originally had 175 slots but the lag on the server was getting close to 0.0 TPS which is insanely low. Until sharding is completed the server slots will (might) be raised to 1000 or so.
Read previous suggestions. The reason they aren't doing this yet is because the lag it would cause would be drastic. It will come, don't worry. Just not yet.
Sharing is the solution for this. It splits the server by worlds. Each world is its own server. We could have 200 people per world.
The day is coming soon. They recoded it recently and got the TPS back up to a managable area but the server as a whole agreed a lower player count would be better than dealing with the lag. I for one didn't play during the lag times do to having to break the same block countless times or place it countless times.
