Archived Server Linking

I saw something interesting, where a group of owners had set up several servers and linked them together. I believe they were even hosting them on separate computers. They used a bukkit program called "BungeeCord" ( BungeeCord - Bukkit ) and were able to have over 10,000 players logged in at once without lag. I suggest that massive craft also try to do something like this.
