Geoffrey isn’t a very loud individual, often displaying Happiness through simple smiles and the occasional quip/joke. How would your character respond to experiencing Fear? Geoffrey rarely shows fear in times of little stress, though when danger is imminent and true, his reaction is fight as opposed to flight. How would your character respond to experiencing Stress? Geoffrey can become rather irritable and quick to snap at people when he is stressed. How does your character view Law and Authorities? Geoffrey views the Emperor and spirit as the ultimate authority, disliking anything that goes against his will. How does your character feel about Races other than their own? Geoffrey sees many of the non-human races of the world as magically corrupted and misguided. The elven races in particular, he finds to be steeped in magical influence and heresy. How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths? They are all misguided and must be eradicated, no exceptions. How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world? Magic is the ultimate blight upon the world and it must be fought back by those willing to do so. How does your character feel towards their family? Geoffrey has always looked up to his father, and cared about his mother. He very excitedly joined the Darkwald order due to his father’s past as one of their knights, before his father lost his arm and leg to a werebeast. Geoffrey also cares very deeply about his wife, Minerva. What is your character the most proud of about themselves? His ability to defend his faith. What motivates your character to move forward and better their life? His faith and his family. What is your character's biggest insecurity? That he may not be strong enough. What is your character's biggest fear? Minerva dying during their hunts. Aberrants winning in the war versus them and Mundanes. What is your character's Alignment? Geoffrey is Lawful Neutral. Geoffrey in the end wants to protect mundane people from aberrants, and has a very strict code that he follows. His methods, like most darkwald, can be seen as extreme though. What is your character’s Personality Type? Geoffrey is a mixture of Mediator and Defender. Geoffrey is quiet and methodical, though very strong-willed and set in his ideals. He is willing to give his life protecting mundanes and especially those he loves. He is also very giving towards those he believes deserve it. What is your character’s Religion and religious devotion? Geoffrey follows the Imperial Sect of Unionism and is absolute in his faith (10/10 devotion). Many of the sects have gone towards the acceptance of abberants and freaks, and are thus not to be trusted. Only the Emperor himself can be trusted to convey the word of the spirit. Relationships Lover | Family | Friend | Neutral | Dislike | Disdain Parents Geoffrey cares very much for his parents, and has great respect for his father. Though he speaks to them rarely, he often writes back and forth to them to keep in contact. Minerva Broussard One of his oldest friends, his partner in the hunt, and his partner in life. Perhaps the only part of the darkwald code that Geoffrey treads the line of breaking is the focus on their mission, for his love is so strong for Minerva. Life Story Born in New Ceardia to mother Nadia Broussard and father, retired Darkwald Knight, Nicolas Broussard. At the age of Seven, he was sent to the Darkwald headquarters of Castle Virgadulvlas to become a darkwald as his father had before him. Though the training was grueling, he always looked up to his father and was happy to be following in his footsteps. Shortly after becoming a Squire, he met a Page by the name of Minerva, who he became quick friends with. He went on several missions with his teacher, not seeing Minerva too often, but remaining friends all the same. Geoffrey took an interest in combat more than intellectual studies, becoming quite proficient in the use of whip and shortsword in combat as well as the use of stealth. By the time they had become full fledged knights, Minerva and Geoffrey were very close to each other and shortly after married, though taking no honeymoon or revelries, simply having the ceremony and returning to their work as Aberrant hunters. Their only pauses were when Minerva became pregnant on three seperate occasions. The first time,a daughter. The other two times, they had sons. During the first few years of their children's lives, they remained around the familial plantation in New Ceardia and kept the area abberant free. When their children were older though, Geoffrey and Minerva left to continue their work while the family took care of their children. With Minerva’s intellect and Geoffrey’s combative abilities, the two became quite effective aberrant hunters throughout Osteiermark, slowly moving their way up towards Waldmark as well. The two very rarely settled down for any period of time, preferring to continue moving to keep up with the abberants that they hunted. Their travels eventually lead them to The Holy City, particularly due to the rise in Aberrant activity in both the criminal underworld, and the guard force of Regalia.
@Caelamus Updated Geoffrey's app due to new family lore and puretek changes. Switched proficiencies around to accommodate Puretek, and removed a level of Arcanology, substituting it with a new union blessing. I put my remaining two points in fist combat. Removed New-Regalian from his languages and replaced Leutz-Vixe with Ithanian. Changed Physical stat to reflect changes. Added to his life story to include mention of children, as well as changes to the names of his parents and location of his birth to match new family lore. Changes are in Green
@Mollymock spoke with Redpockypanda, Geoffrey's wife's player, and decided to age them up so changed his age to 45 and gave him the 7 extra proficencies with that.
@KrakenLord01 gave him Leutz as a language, since he only had one family language and he grew up in Tirgunn. I don't think this requires a rereview, just letting you know.
