Waves crashed against the bow of the sturdy ship across the wide blue sea, the hot sun and calm tides spelled a favorable journey to the south for the adventuring team. The sailors came upon land in the west, dotted with buildings and slums alike, the crew recognizing the sight as the city of Daenshore. They set anchor to port, and rolled up their sails, having fully arrived in the bustling trade port, filled with mingling Varran, Elves, and Ailor alike.

Having settled in port, Alvaro, Florian, and Alexander, unfortunately being the only the three Daendroqui speakers of the group, suggested the remainder of the crew remain to resupply the ship and prepare for the next voyage. They traveled about the bustling city, speaking to human and non-human alike for local opinion and information on the tale of Isaac Cooke, the pirate lords, and even the mysterious island of Krayr. Locals often replied with the same familiar tale, the story they and their forefathers told them of the treasure and history, already known and written into the literature even back home. However, tales of pirate lords piqued the interest of locals, able to offer words and tales of dark-skinned men pirating and pillaging their ancestors and towns of the area, passed down by generations as true tales turned frightening children stories. This confirmed the Journals entries about one of three being a Qadir captain, however, brought no new leads into the fold. The explores asked many of the locals their opinion on the treasure, many believing it to be a simple myth, only a few to believe it a reality like the explorers, though all claim many others have come before since Cooke’s riddle surfaced, looking for the same but leaving Daenshore empty-handed.

Having heard all they could, the team returned to port to discuss with each other. With no useful leads to follow up on, the team suggested to simply split up, one group to scour the seas, and one to dig deeper into the local libraries and the tales of Cooke. With their new missions set forth, the two teams said their farewells for now, and Damian, Alvaro, Seraphina and Florian took to the seas once more, while Alexander, Fathiyaa, and Seamus returned to the city to delve into its libraries for leads.

With the crew now fully restocked and eager to find any leads, Damian, Alvaro, Seraphina and Florian returned to their ship to explore the seas and search for this mysterious island of ‘Krayr’ themselves. The group of four and their crew rocked about on the open seas, setting sail for the general direction of where the uncharted sea lay, the hot Daen sun beating down on the crew as they traveled along. The team sailed for much time, speaking on adventure and complaints of how far this island could be. With no map followed but a simple bearing, the ship steamed ahead through the waters, waves rocking across the wooden bow. A lone rock or two propped up against the sea, going almost unnoticed, though they continued on their bearing. Alvaro at the helm saw nothing fit to raise concern, as the ship steamed on. However, rocks became more frequent, making navigation become much more tricky for the captain. Calls of shallows and reefs began to pipe up from the vigilant trio of Damian, Serphina and Florian, as it seemed like navigation was growing much more of a challenge. The ship steamed along, only to be confronted with a shallow wall of sharp rocks coming head-on for the ship. Alvaro took quick action to turn, but in the process, scraped the side of the ship along a shallow reef. Only then was it realized the massive and stretching field of reefs, rocks, and shallows that only worsened ahead of them, with no land in sight past it. The crew found this plan of action to be hopeless and quickly turned tail back to port.

Meanwhile, the other group consisting of Alexander, Fathiyaa, and Seamus decided to wander deeper into the large port city to seek out its old libraries filled with history, biographies, and fiction. Although Alexander was the only Daen speaker of the trio, the occasional book was found in recognizable and comprehensible languages by the two others. Much to their disappointment, however, after hours of hauling stacks of books back and forth from shelves to desk and desk to shelves, the group found themselves empty handed, with nothing but the same stories already known. Upon noticing the dreary looks of defeat upon the three, the elderly librarian suggested they go see one of the towns eldest sea captains, to see if he can offer them any advice for their research.

The three were directed to an old large home on the outskirts of Daenshore, and upon knocking found themselves welcomed inside with no shortage of hospitality. After settling down for some afternoon tea, the group began making their inquiries to the old man, who only returned their curiosity with a disheartened expression and a raspy voice.
“I’m afraid I have no answers for you.” the elderly man spoke, shaking his head, as he adjusted the positioning of his ship in a bottle.
“Then we’re back at square one.” Alexander muttered before a deep sigh, tapping his fingers upon the cover of the journal as he glanced over to the other two with a look of defeat.
The elder frowned, waving his hand to regain Alexanders attention before he spoke, slightly tilting his head to the side as his heavy Daen accent carried his words.
“Usually the best way to find out where a map leads is to follow it.” he said, raising his brows as he cackled shortly after.“In this book, you say you have the navigation chart that you must follow to find what you seek, however, you have not followed it... Instead, you have come here, to find answers we do not have.” he concluded, sliding open the desk drawer and pulling out a large cigar to press between his lips and light, nodding towards the door behind them as the wisps of smoke slowly began to rise.
“My advice, my friends? Look to the night sky, and follow the stars from Regalia as your sea chart instructs.”

The three quickly gave their thanks for the advice and hospitality before hastily moving out the door to return back to the port on time. Upon arriving they found the crew and the rest of the League preparing the ship for further exploration into the sea, however with a somewhat shortage of supplies and the recent damage to the hull, it was decided the ship would return to Regalia to resupply and discuss further on everything they had and hadn't learned.

Damian Gray sighed as he heard of nothing new. However, he was still happy to get better knowledge. "Alright.. seems that we will need to meet again soon."
