One of those being the clear principle of Unionism that opposes same-sex relations and Sebastien has been conflicted with this. Life Story Sebastien was born to his parents Mona and Nero Solisti in Montania. His father was Dressolni, but his wife Mona (formerly Delecluze) Solisti was Ithanian. To his mother, Sebastien would be her 'Ithanian' child, while his other siblings were given traditional Dressolini names, he would be taught in the ways of Ithanian culture and hospitality. During his childhood, he lived a very cosmopolitan life, as his father, Nero, managed the family shipyards and his mother managed the home (but did tutoring on the side). Nero, however, neglected Sebastien for his brother Ercole, who was far better built for the ship-yards, and much less bookish than he was. This neglection made Sebastien turn towards more to his mother. His mother, Mona, taught him thoroughly in the art of needle and thread. Under her guidance, Sebastien became a skilled at threading garment, but never pursued this in employment. Their family was devoutly Unionist, like his family, he too adopted the customs and belief system. Sebastien had a very peaceful childhood, along with his brother and two sisters, he attended schooling and when ten years old, worked as a newspaper deliverer to many of the more wealthy districts of the city. Around the same age, Sebastien would frequently return to Ithania to spend time with Mona's side of the family, often months at a time. It was expected that he would grow into an adult and work in the ports like his father, but he did not want to follow in that image. Instead, he sought further education. Using the savings and connections he had made through the newspaper work prior, Sebastien left home looking to expand his horizons and escape the Montania for Ithania. That proved successful, and at age eighteen, he was studying full-time in the realms of finance and politics in Diplomacy and Finance School. While living his life in away from the family, Sebastien began to explore himself and came to the realization of his homosexuality after several short-lived (and secret) relationships. It was during this time that one of his short-term partners, who was Altalar, taught him Modern Altalar. Following that, a friend from Joyau-vert du Nord notified him of a new role in a bank that had started. They were looking for bank tellers, so once he finished his education, Sebastien moved and found himself working for Sécurité Bank. It operated mainly in Carnigoux de Foix Hivre, with little connections or branches elsewhere. Still, this work was pivotal in the development of Sebastien's career and success. With his expert financial expertise, he moved through the ranks of the bank, often not hesitating to step on others below him to reach his goals. During this time, and dealing with many foreign clients, Sebastien learnt the New Regalian languages and Leutz-Vixe. He developed strong understandings of these languages through the years working for the Bank. Sebastien's unabashed careerism did not go unnoticed by those in the top echelons of the company, who had been particularly surprised (if not disturbed) at his quick ascent to numerous leadership positions in the Bank. His family, on the other hand, were very excited for him. It was this that drove Sebastien, but things would not remain rosy for very much longer. Threatened by his ascension and thus his threat to their power in the Bank, he was snubbed by the company. They 'offered' him a lower-paying position in Regalia in a very sternly worded letter, the Bank informed that he would have to be re-located to the Archipelago or face the possibility of losing his current employment. Without many other choices, at age 31, Sebastien Solisti moved to Regalia. Despite it being an effort by Bank management to silence him, he took it as a new opportunity to prove himself and bring pride to himself and his family again. Down on his luck and without many regals on hand, Sebastien attempted to turn his luck around in the city. He tried to re-build himself and prove him more than worthy of an interesting and influential life. These efforts were beginning to pay off. After a short stint with the Bank while in Regalia, Sebastien took matters into his own hands and quit. In his resignation letter, he called the operator of the bank: "unqualified, unsuited chippy oik". Instead, he found work with the House Solisti members who were living in the Crown City. Since, he has worked with the families business interests and worked at Caffe Maria, which was run by the family too. While living in Regalia he has diligently sought to learn Braggan, following their families ascendancy to Nobility. Though, on the side, he has begun exploring his passion for needle and thread again. This practice since in Regalia has boosted his confidence and now is looking into doing fashion design.
