The Sundial would go to the bathroom to wash up and when he got there Connak saw his reflection and realised just how many scars he had. With a large number of scars on his back, some on his chest, a few on his arms and finally, one on his left eye. Connak stood there unsure what to say at the number of scars. Instead, he'd think of all the times he was lashed, beaten, stabbed, impaled and cut.
With each scar, a brief memory came to mind. Some of his memories were of his tyrantical father using a belt to beat him. Some of the times he got arrested. One of the meteor that struck near Petal Court and lastly, the recent fight he was in.
The one memory that lingered was the recent fight and the scar over his left eye. The memory would go a little like this:
He was in the Wraith, covered in a bit of blood after fighting for his life. He talked to a few friends and his husband for a moment before they left the sewer tavern. Two Ailor walked in and immediately started to stare Connak down. After five long minutes, the two Ailor would pull out their weapons and attack Connak. Connak would fight back out of self-defence and brought one of the attacking Ailors down. As Connak was busy making sure the downed ailor, the other Ailor would slash at Connak's face and slash right over his left eye. Luckily, Connak's eye would be fine. Out of retaliation, Connak would jump at the last Ailor stabbed him right in his heart and ripped the dagger out of it. Connak would get up, wipe any blood off his face, flick off any blood on his dagger and left the establishment. Looking more bloody than when he came in.
"I should've died." He'd mutter to himself as he looked at the reflection. He would slowly back away from the mirror. When he grabbed his shirt, all he thought about was how the times he almost died. Connak then realised that he's lucky to be alive. From that though alone, a smile would appear briefly as he made his way to return to the world.

Scars
"Every scar has a story, and some stories are worth telling. Scars are forever, they never fade away."
As nightfall slowly turned to daybreak, Connak would rise from his bed after getting a decent night of sleep. He would sit up and look at his sleeping husband. He would smile at the sight and the carefully got out of the bed."Every scar has a story, and some stories are worth telling. Scars are forever, they never fade away."
