Core Concept
Samiya is a Knight of the Lothar Order, a member of the Sudzhennya, and a skilled craftsman and engineer. With a fairly weak constitution, and cursed from a young age, she is wholly unfit to serve on the frontlines. In order to circumvent her circumstances, she remotely pilots an automaton of her own creation; a vanguard unit meant to safeguard her fellow knights. She lives vicariously through her mechanical frame, becoming more confident and brash while in control -- in person, she's a hopeless coward -- her time spent hiding behind her creation having atrophied what little social skill she had to begin with.

Appearance Information
Having lost her left arm in service to the Order and the Empire, Samiya has replaced it with an intricate mechanism built of cold steel and inscribed with Unionist scripture. The woman herself is pallid and listless, with dark curls of raven-black hair and even darker bags beneath her eyes. She is nearly always covered in soot or grease, rarely taking the opportunity to look presentable due to the fact that she hides away.

Life Story / Plot Hooks

• Born within a small Skyborn Academy anchored somewhere within the Empire, Samiya was the daughter of two weapons engineers. She took to her parents' trade with enthusiasm and ease, preferring the solitude of their workshop to roaming the floating outpost with other children.
• Tragedy strikes when a coven sets its sights on the technology of her home -- Skyborn are slaughtered by the dozens, or hauled off to be thralled and fed upon as necessary. Samiya spends weeks in captivity, waiting for death, before the Lothar are dispatched to deal with the sanguine threat.
• Though it took months to begin to undo the damage done to the young girl, she persevered and held onto the festering hatred for the sanguine in her heart. Apprenticing under the Sunkissed Knight, she was indoctrinated into the Lothar Order just as soon as she was old enough, gravitating to the Sudzhennya workshops.
• Having made a name for herself as a prodigious mechanic and a trustworthy member of the order, she has been assigned to the Regalian chapter to support their anti-Sanguine operations.
