    Personality:

How would your character express Happiness and Contentedness?
Rond’e likes to take walks in the park and to drink some ale.
To celebrate something he usually would have dinner with friends and dear ones, most likely eating and drinking more than he should.

How would your character respond to experiencing Fear?
Rond’e’s years of training make him able to withstand fear most of the time, keeping a cold, keen and strategic mind, although when he loses control, it can go bad and he can get anxious or mad pretty quickly.

How would your character respond to experiencing Stress?

Rond’e does react to stress quite well, and usually says that his best ideas come when stressed. He is a very chill person, but having that edge makes him think better.

How does your character view Law and Authorities?
Rond’e has huge respect for Law and Authorities and thinks everyone should respect them. Although, if something about Law and Authorities would go against his own views and would damage an innocent, he would probably break any rules that he needed.

How does your character feel about Races other than their own?

Because of his sailing years, he has met a lot of different people including many from different races. He isn’t racist and doesn’t feel hatred towards any in particular.

How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths?

Being a sailor and ship captain for many years, Rond’e does believe that Religion can be used in good ways, but he mostly sees evil in it. He believes that men usually use religions to control others, although he does believe in Baskarr and asks for higher counselling quite often, especially when in tough situations with his old crewmates.

How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world?
Rond’e is both fascinated and scared of it. He has had very little contact with it, but he isn’t quite fond of Magic and Arcane items, although he wouldn’t say no to learning about it.

How does your character feel towards their family?

Because of several events he has had with his family, especially his deceased father and brother, he doesn’t visit them very often, and doesn’t show that much affection towards them. Although, if they ever desperately needed their help, he would be ready for anything.

What is your character the most proud of about themselves?
Rond’e is proud of what he achieved so far and his skills in melee combat. He loves swords and hammers, and being able to use those to defend himself and his loved ones is a huge achievement.
Other than that, he loves his cane collection.

What motivates your character to move forward and better their life?

He is very ambitious and wants to make the world safer for everyone. He genuinely wants to be a good person and while he doesn’t seek validation and recognizement, it’s always nice when his peers congratulate him about an event he is proud of.

What is your character's biggest insecurity?

Probably his scars and blind eye. Rond’e isn’t too insecure, and he has owned up to his scars and eye, but sometimes he still remembers what happened for them to exist and the insecurities return. He doesn’t enjoy telling that story.

What is your character's biggest fear?
Even though this might be a bit contradicting, Rond’e can’t swim very well and from his experiences, and from seeing many of his friends and crewmates dying in the sea, he is mostly scared of the sea and being in water, but being in a ship in the middle of the sea is no problem for him.

    Quirks:
Rond’e usually picks his teeth with his claw when in a socially awkward situation or when he is stuck in deep thought.
Rond’e has a habit of running his hand through his beard when speaking with someone.
Rond’e never touches his scars and would get very offended if someone tried to do so.

    Likes:

Fishing: Rond’e enjoys fishing as it relaxes him and gives him time to think about his philosophies, about life, about his passions and after all, eating a good fish at the end of a day, is very rewarding

Hunting: Rond’e is a big fan of hunting. It doesn’t matter if he is hunting whales, sharks, boars or birds, he will love it. He mostly enjoys the thrill and adrenaline it gives him, but also being able to cook a meal and maybe get a good trophy out of it.

Food: Rond’e not only enjoys eating, but also cooking. He enjoys food and drink and that can be seen by his size and anyone who watches him eat a good meal will definitely notice that he is crazy about all kinds of food. Strong flavours and strong ale are his favourite.

Canes: Rond’e doesn’t really need a cane to walk, but he loves collecting them and his home definitely has a good amount of decorative canes. He has found them interesting since he was a child and if he went to a very special event, he would probably take one of his favourites.

    Dislikes:

Storms: As a sailor, storms are always trouble, and Rond’e has had his dose of them.

    [Life Story Song]

    Life Story:

    [Childhood]

Rond’e Gamal was born in Aeminium, a coastal city in the Lusits. Despite having a very caring mother, he lived in a quite broken household, being beaten by his fisherman father many times, in similarity to his mother. His older brother though, always his father’s favourite, never quite got along with him, and since they were little, their relationship was quite toxic. No matter what his brother did, his father always believed him and ended up blaming, and punishing, Rond’e and his mother.
Rond’e’s hatred towards his father grew ever since he was little, swearing he would kill him every time he beat his mother, but it remained as a thought.
Because of this, Rond’e wasn’t too social during his childhood, choosing to remain alone, fishing and roaming around town.

    [Teenage Years]

This doesn’t mean he didn’t have any friends. His best friend, Seth, always gave him a place to stay until things at his home cooled down, and that’s also where he learned to fight. Seth’s father was a part of Aeminium’s guard, and used to teach Seth, so Rond’e was more than happy to get in there and learn as well.
As he started to grow, he did want to become a guard, idolizing Seth’s father and spending most of his teenage years at their home.

During Rond’e’s training, he proved to be a very good fighter.
In fact, on some days Seth’s father took both his son and Rond’e to his work, to introduce them to the other guards, and have them know the installations.

    [Adult Years]

When he reached adulthood, he decided to go and apply for the Guard.
Rond’e was very nervous, but easily made it through all the physical and mental tests. He soon started working as a guard for the city.
Although, after a very good day of work, Rond’e finally reached his house.
His father had threatened his mother the day before, so he wasn’t expecting a good environment. Although, what he came home to was his mother, lying on the ground, her fur marked, bruises over her body.

He didn’t even think twice. He was enraged, furious with the vision of his mother like that. That was the day. He put his mother in her room, carefully covering her with the bed sheets, and taking care of her wounds. He knew his father would come home in a couple hours, so he waited. When he finally arrived, Rond’e snapped. Chaos ensued. The fighting didn’t last long. While his father was strong, Rond’e was younger, stronger. His father was beaten to the ground, probably with some wounds that would last a while. He left his house the moment his brother was coming in, looking at him sideways and then wandering off towards the docks. At that moment he decided to simply get on a ship and leave that place. He knew his father wouldn’t do that again, or atleast he thought so. Perhaps his absence would make him stop, he hated Rond’e after all. He got on a ship, and asked the captain to join the crew. If he had already seen him or not, he didn’t know, but strangely enough, the captain accepted. They probably needed more crewmates, or he sensed that Rond’e was desperate for a fresh start, to get out of there.

And that’s when it truly started. The thing he calls life now. businesses, good people, bad people, adventures and misadventures. The crewmates were nice. The captain, a Ovirran who went by Amsu, and the rest of the crewmates quickly became his new family. Especially Ziszh, a Mai-Allar, known for his shanties.

For years, Rond’e set sail in this ship, his home. Through storms, whales and all kinds of islands (from which Rond’e always took something with him), all kinds of Rond’e and Ziszh spent their days together. Either fixing the sails or the ship itself, or loading and unloading cargo, Rond’e started winning the crew’s respect.

Although, the good days were quickly over. This one night, Rond’e and Ziszh were calmly sleeping in their quarters when Zial, another crewmate, woke them up, hurried and deadly worried. A huge storm was coming close, the sound of thunder echoed and the waves were crashing against the ship, and as if that wasn’t enough, the whale they had been tracking for a trophy, was now trying to make a trophy out of them. Rond’e and Ziszh quickly got up and helped the rest of the tripulation. As always Ziszh couldn’t stop singing, and as if his shanties were empowering him, Rond’e saw the whale. A beautiful, giant, Orca whale. She was coming towards the ship with all her might. Without hesitation, Rond’e unsheathes the cutlass he had and just lunges, outwards, towards the sea, towards the whale. He lands on top of her, bringing the cutlass down with a strong swing. Both of them letting out loud battle cries, and the sound coming together, almost as one. The waves crashed on his face, Rond’e was screaming, the whale was fighting against him, but he didn’t stop. He kept hitting her, harpoons came flying from the ship and she dived.
She dived, but Rond’e kept hitting, with all his might and strength, he couldn’t let her win, he couldn’t let her beat him and his family. And that’s when he stopped. The last thing he remembers from this day was being underwater, looking up, with the beast under him, grabbing it with all his strength, and just hitting, and hitting, and hitting.
Rond’e finally woke up. To his right, a single whale fin, and to his left, some of his crewmates. About half of the tripulation was there. He desperately looked for Ovirran and Ziszh, but to no avail. It was over, he knew he wouldn’t find them. They were dead, and he wished he was too.

He had no idea of what to do, with little money he had on his pockets and the rest of his crewmates, but they fought.
He wasn’t beat by a whale, he wasn’t beat by a storm, he wouldn’t be beat by some stupid island.

They set foot, taking the whale fin as some sort of memory.
He ended up leading the crew and they finally found a town.
Not that it was easy, but they worked hard for some months and finally got enough money to buy a Tartane so they could get back on the sea. They did miss the crew, and their spirits weren’t the best, but they kept going. Rond’e was acting as captain of the ship and everyone seemed to agree on that, even though none of them said anything and no voting nor election had been made.
Their sailing days kept going, with memories of friends, families, but also with new friends, and new families, new memories, new titles and new adventures to come.
Of course, as any good sailor, they did find trouble many times on their trips. Old faces disappeared and new faces came to light.

And then, after many years, Rond’e finally decided to stop. It was enough for him. He had put himself and many others through too much already. It was time for a new captain, maybe even a new crew.
    He wanted to settle.

When Rond'e reached adulthood, he decided to join the guard, as it was what he always had wanted.
Rond’e passed through all the tests and soon started working as a guard, and he was happy doing it.

He got home after a long day of work and found his mother, beaten, on the ground. He took care of her, and then, he waited. When his father came home, he beat him hard, probably leaving some lasting marks. Rond’e then left his home, enraged by what just happened. He saw his brother on the way out, but didn’t speak with him.
Rond’e went for the docks and spoke with the captain of a ship and asked to be a part of the crew. The captain either knew him or he could see the suffering in his eyes, because he said that he could board the ship without hesitation.
Rond’e had good relationships with most of the crew, with Amsu, the Ovirran Captain, and especially with Zziszh, a Mai-Allar, who quickly became his best-friend. For many years they sailed around the Far West.

Although, if it wasn’t for one day, he would probably still be there, in the ship, with his friends.
They were tracking this whale, at the high sea, when they saw a storm approaching. Rond’e and Zziszh were sleeping in their chambers, when Zial came to wake them up. The waves were crashing, and as if that wasn’t enough, the whale was attacking the ship as well. Rond’e lunged for the whale, while Zziszh was trying to fix the ship. Harpoons came flying from the ship as both them and his cutlass striked the mighty orca. The waves crashed and the whale dived and twisted. Rond’e kept striking it, even underwater. Although, despite all his efforts, he ended up passing out.
When he woke up, he had a whale fin by his side, with some of his crewmates beside him. There was no sight of Amsu nor Zziszh.

They searched for them, but to no avail.

Rond’e started acting as a Captain instinctively, and the crew didn’t disrespect it. There was almost an unspoken agreement.

After finding a town and working there for a couple months, they finally could afford a Tartane.
But this time, Rond’e didn’t want to sail for many more years, but to stop and settle.

    [Current days]

And after unboarding the ship, that’s where he currently is. In Regalia. Making friends and enemies, although he would prefer the latter to be fewer. All he wants, his to straighten his life up, make himself and the world next to him a better place. Maybe belong to the guard. Who knows what the ways of life have reserved for Rond’e, the Whale Murderer.
