She stole things she needed, being a stowaway on a ship to head to Regalia. Her family was a bunch of Void Worshippers, who were driven practically insane by their practices and often would kill those to appease the 'Void', one being her kid brother. She often wishes to be seen as that of an equal, even if it might be impossible. She wanted to be normal, but her normal would never be what is intended, living at the expense of her insane family who have given themselves to the evil inside them. Something of a slight smile, they aren't big on words and feel their actions speak louder than it. Usually through something they feel is adequate like having enough food or money to last the week or just knowing they have someone they can rely on. How would your character respond to experiencing Fear? It would depend on the type of fear. If they feel it's someone they're afraid of, they might cower once they find out there's nothing they can do, losing all hope. But if it's something they're afraid of, such as that of an animal or even fear of the unknown, they would try to fight through it until they can't fight anymore. How would your character respond to experiencing Stress? They wouldn't pay enough attention to actually let it show they're stressed out. Risa is calm and tries not to overreact over her own issues, keeping her business private when it comes to things she's not sure how to handle. Maybe she gets angry from time to time and fights to relieve stress and break things, but nothing more than that. How does your character view Law and Authorities? She obeys the law more or less, but it can be different as her own kind is considered that of irrelevant. If she is not able to interact normally with regular races, then why should she care of the laws? She does what she needs to survive, and the laws will not stop her from what she needs to do in order to fulfill it. How does your character feel about Races other than their own? For legal folk, she feels a bit of inferiority, and is often afraid to talk to them. If she ever found a normal race in the sewers, she'd be riddled with fear rather than anger towards them. How does your character feel about Religion for themselves, and other faiths? Not much, honestly. Religion hasn't done much for her, and she's got no reason to believe in faiths of any kind, and feels that religion is just 'whispering lies to give your life meaning.' She's seen what the void can do, and partially feels nothing can be done to save yourself from it, and your time will come when the time is right. Her being is cursed, and no matter what someone says about the future, her life will end and be cast into the void for the mistakes her race has made. How does your character feel about the Arcane and Magical in the world? She feels a connection towards Magic, as she can wield it with little effort. But, it's not something she enjoys relying on. Forced to hone her skills by her family in order to do what needed to be done for the void, she got a grasp at a young age, but chooses not to use it much as it reminds her of what her parents turned into. How does your character feel towards their family? She hates her family with a passion, due to their mistakes and what they could have done to them. Insanity, to say the least, is nothing she wants to be near ever again, and as she may have never asked to be this way, there's nothing she can do about it. What is your character the most proud of about themselves? Her ability to adapt and overcome despite her suffering, her life hasn't been easy up to this point, but she's making it work and her skills speak for themselves. She can use her skills to fight for that of a better life. What motivates your character to move forward and better their life? To prove she's more than just a Kathar. Tainted with such a 'bad' race, assumed that she's power hungry and foolhardy. But she wants to prove to herself she can be a decent person, and live similar to that of an Altalar. What is your character's biggest insecurity? Her race, as she doesn't know how someone normal would react, but wants to show people that she is more than what she's ridiculed for. She is constantly reminded that her existence is that of a failure, and she fears the amount of backlash she could get from that of a commoner for even passing by. What is your character's biggest fear? Being looked down upon, shunned for her race and power. She tries to live in a way so she can feel.. free, if possible. It's been difficult for her to do so, every step towards freedom she takes only ends up backfiring. She fears she'll never achieve what she strives for, a more or less normal life from the one she escaped over a decade ago. Life Story Born in Daen, Risette Vertelle was born amongst chaos. Her family were void worshippers who brought out the extremities of their power, seeming to 'speak' for the void and doing what it asked. But, she felt they were insane, watching them sacrifice what seemed to be normal people and even that of their own newborn child to appease the void. Their entire void worship cult felt Risette was going to do whatever they asked, but she openly disagreed as she was put through rigorous training for her magic, using her powers to steal enough to head to Regalia, in hopes to be far away from them as possible. She left them at the age of 12, being a stowaway on a ship to make it to Regalia. Living in Regalia for about more than fifteen years, she stayed in the sewers, and traveled outside when she felt like she needed to, visiting the north when the Ailors were often making joyous events. Hunting was only when she needed to, but nothing important overall. That and, she would steal and murder Ailors who dared to mock her in plain sight, mainly for belongings or to teach those that she ought to be messed with. While killing isn't something she likes to do, she would do it in a heartbeat to teach someone a lesson as no laws can save you from that of the illegals. After doing that for some time, she felt like gangs would do her good, enlisting in some in the sewers and staying on the move to keep herself safe. She did jobs, a bit of hitmanning here and there, though she tried to stay away from robberies, but she did what needed to be done in order to pay for enough expenses to live off of. Unfortunately, she saw her group die from a pack of vampires, and gave her a deathly fear of them. She retreated, trying to live that of a humble life. Until, she met Lyra. her day didn't go to a great start, she poured alcohol into a High Inquisitor's face, leading to have her be beaten. She met someone who said she needed her help after that incident in order to take someone down, doing a bit of detective work when she met Lyra, an Abyssal vampire who tricked her into changing into a vampire. As she is currently afflicted, she find herself slowly losing her humanity, the words she begged to Lyra as she tried to refuse seeming to no longer make sense to her, becoming a husk of the emotionally intact female she used to be.
I believe you've spent three too many points here. Please either drop 3 somewhere or age the character up some. Please include a calculation showing how you came to this value. You might want to include what spells you would have from Mage Blooded in the event of the character being cured of their vampirism. You still have the spells, you just can't use them as a Vampire. I'd like for you to expand upon these last two points a little more. Try and keep to a minimum of two sentences. Please make these edits in Purple and tag me when complete @HorizonCythulu!
