Spirit Knight ☶ | At the core of Rhynar's concept is his aesthetic and role as a Gahn-bound Argentum Knight. Clad often in bone-sung armour, sometimes donning the traditional silver for special occasions, Rhynar acts to uphold the Argentum code and aspires to become stronger through the symbiotic use of Demons and Spirits.

Opposition to Unionism ☵ | One of Rhynar's central objectives is to guide people away from Unionism; to combat its spread and to defend those it would seek to harm. Unionism is openly hostile to Spirits/Demons, including the harmless, innocent and well adjusted. It also proclaims other religions to be 'distracting evils', and even demands their "Tyrant" leader be worshipped a Supreme God-Emperor. Rhynar finds this appalling, obviously.

Embracing Chaos ☳ | Rhynar views chaos as a necessary part of change, progress and evolution. He believes that only through chaos and upheaval can true freedom be achieved. He too believes strongly in the ideology of the Beguiled Cult, that the Spirits and the Living should be able to freely roam and exist in harmony, without enslavement. He considers himself a 'Saccaron' of The Void, and though he pays respect to all the Void Colossus, he views Gahn as his primary patron - with both Armas and Dogor as close secondary patrons.

Rhynar left the Dread Empire in his teenage years, but some may still recognise his white fringe and tired eyes. He had a reputation for being a flirt.

Rhynar travelled the northern Silerian Chain, and southern Ithania, with a small band fellow Kathar and cultists. They were anti-Unionist, and may have gotten in a fight or two defending spirits and demons from those who would try to exorcise and destroy them around that area.

Rhynar was a core member of a terrible cult near Mirtasil. He unwittingly helped them incite a horrible sacrificial slaughter on a beach, which locals may have heard about or seen the aftermath gruesome aftermath of.

Rhynar is an Argentum Knight, and has been for many years. He is bound to Gahn and is knowledgeable on Spirits.

On a small and remote island, nestled between Mirtasil and Maartasil, there grew a peaceful community known as "Harmony's Haven." Founded by a mysterious and generous benefactor, its objective was to establish a small, safe and idealistic society free from violence, famine and negative emotions. Its people hailed from all over the Silerian Chain.

This serene enclave flourished under the guidance of its enigmatic leader, Calghar, a Kathar who concealed his true identity by appearing as an Ailor. He taught his followers the secrets of happiness through joyful expressions, deep meditation, and the incessant recitation of 'blessed mantras.'

However, beneath the façade of tranquillity, not all was as idyllic as it seemed. Calghar would 'banish' those he deemed 'dissidents'. It started as anyone who dared to admit harbouring darker thoughts or speaking negative words, but eventually this would include questioning Calghar at all. He appointed "Vigilant" guardians of The Haven to weed out dissidents. Among these Vigilants was Rhynar, a young Kathar who knew the truth of the island, and helped with expelling those who might destroy their seemingly perfect society.

Life on the island was peaceful, until the truth began to seep through the cracks of their
façade. Members began to 'mysteriously' vanish, fear gripped the inhabitants, and the island's once-harmonious atmosphere turned grim.

Claiming to fear infiltration from malevolent forces, Calghar gathered his followers on the island's shores. There, he presented a trembling Ithanian before them, claiming her to be a witch hellbent on dismantling everything they had created - and the cause of the disappearances.

The woman, desperate and drenched in rain, held down by Rhynar and another Vigilant, defied Calghar's assertions. She exposed his true nature as a Kathar, and disclosed that he belonged to a vile cult devoted to corrupting and sacrificing people in the name of The Void God Odell. According to her, Calghar hadn't banished anyone; no one had left the island. They had all been sacrificed!

In an act as ruthless as it was desperate, Calghar silenced her by slamming a rock down upon the back of her skull. Some among the congregation appeared to believe her - but Calghar insisted they were conspirators- That they must be part of the coven!

Calghar's words fanned the flames of fear, and the whispers of suspicion gave way to terrified accusations. The once harmonious community descended into brutal chaos.

The inhabitants tore at each other, unleashing a violent maelstrom of destruction. Calghar watched with cold and pitiless eyes, witnessing the consequences of his manipulation. Rhynar panicked and started to flee when he realised the deserters outnumbered those who were still loyal to the haven.

The Ritual was complete. Enough blood stained the sands, and Rhynar looked back to witness crude glyphs of Void Script glow from faint etchings prepared upon the beach in advance. An eruption of Void Demons clawed forth from the blood-stained sand as though dredged up from shallow graves. Calghar would control them all- He would shackle and bind their will- He would enslave and dominate a far more powerful flock.

This was never what Rhynar had been told- The truth he had known- That the sacrificed would return as free Remnant spirits, happy and blissful- That it was all for their own good. His vision shook as he glared up at Calghar, who was busy watching the slaughter with wicked satisfaction…

He was smiling…
Until Rhynar leapt upon his back, and frantically stabbed him to death.

When Rhynar awoke, lying on the stained sand, lying among the dead, he slowly made out a new face - an eyeless, gaunt and monstrous face with jagged teeth and long, twisting horns. It was gazing down upon him… It smiled,

and Rhynar smiled too.

Indebted Spirit ☶ | The Silver Tower takes the form of a large silver shield, and was once enslaved by a powerful Theurgist. A young Kathar - Rhynar - would eventually slay this Theurgist, freeing a large colony of spirits and earning the respect of the shield, which now offers its protection to Rhynar as thanks.

Added Spirit Point Spread

Updated Rhynar's profs, removed abilities which no longer exist / work the same way. Big focus on Faith this time around

Updated the Spirit Build because the last one wasn't fun and was difficult to keep track of mid combat (spent a lot of time standing around waiting for an ability, felt boring)
