A random one, but with good reason:
Important - Rules | MassiveCraft Forums
As quoted:
It is against the fourm rules to correct another user(s) grammar on the fourms. It is not allowed to insult another(s) grammar. Bear in mind we have players of all ages and nationalities in which English language may not be their strongest suit. This will be strictly punishable.

Also, all it ever would do is start flame wars and spam that would just ruin the person's day. Most people use the rating with harm in mind, and just to insult the user.

I never did understand that rule. Wouldn't it be better to correct them so their english can improve?

Their English doesn't improve if you just rage and them and give them a negative rating. Besides, many of the people here are from a country where English isn't the native language. It is hurtful and a pain in your arse when some snob tells you to fix your sentence.

I'm also not a big fan of Grammar Nazis in any way as they are rude and disrespectful. Most of the time, it makes the person that was corrected look like an idiot.

I agree with imborings last post so much.

I got rated bad spelling by someone who couldn't properly capitalize his phrases, just because I disagreed with his suggestion.

Support.

Did I mention raging? If anything is done in an arse manner then it's obviously disrespectful. Pointing out a mistake does not seem like a big deal and furthermore it's just the internet so you shouldn't be hurt that much by some snob/arse

Most people point out mistakes in an obnoxious way. Like Marty said, whenever people get mad at someone for opposing them, they say something like they are off-topic or have bad spelling.

Also, most people don't have English as their native language. Instead of constantly correcting somebody and making them look fairly stupid, you should simply ignore and help them translate it.

Hurting isn't helping and helping isn't hurting.

Also, the term 'Grammar Nazis' offends people. I want to correct Ulu so bad sometimes; I fell like it might be an OCD/Perfectionist thing, but it'll help me and maybe him in the long run. I do my best not to offend people on accident... So, I want to correct people, but with proper intention: helping them get better at English. I already had that done to me by ELtongo when I type 'habliste' which should be 'hablaste'. It helped (not to mention I don't truly know past tense verbs in Spanish :D).

e aste o amos asteis aron
i iste io imos isteis ieron = preterite

And ya what Eyebrows said. If it's native english speakers correcting native english speakers then it's usually just meant to hurt but with non native speakers it would help, like I wish I had someone to correct my spanish for me lol

It is obviously a problem since both marty and i im totally agreeing on it (:O). And no, english grammar nazi is not helpful, not at all. I will not correct my english thanks to a twat correcting a wordfor me when im out on a helpop. Im writing fast and might miss words of letters, thats how it is. Correcting me at that point only makes me look stupid and makes me very irritated.

also to Bsavs.
" furthermore it's just the internet so you shouldn't be hurt that much by some snob/arse".
Yes, we can. This is our community and not the open, free shitstorm that is the internet.

I agree with this simply because someone decided my grammar sucked when I role-played, and gave me a bunch of 'bad-spellings' (facepalm)
