/fix seems to have only the benefit of making armor and tools easy to repair, at the cost of a paltry sum of regals. God armor, which would otherwise cost a fair amount of time (high repair) or resources (money, diamonds, xp), can last indefinitely with this. It was detrimental enough when it was a premium only feature, and only available to a small group of people (and free to use at that!), but with everyone able to use it, it seems to have lost its justification for existence (incentive to donate). Removing it can only help, since it would make god armor worth something more than what it is now, would make mcmmo repair relevant, and would, above all, be more balanced and realistic.

Frankly, this change wouldn't serve to do much but hinder the development of smaller factions without access to someone with a high repair value. Mcmmo repair is currently at the strongest, relatively, it has ever been. Right now, to fix a fairly damaged set of god armor using the /fix command will typically cost upwards of 100r, more if your weapons are damaged. Due to a glut of god weapons, this means you will be paying more than your weapon's worth in regals to fix your armor. This is not a 'paltry amount of regals' for much of the playerbase as you suggest.

My thoughts are that /fix should be removed, since It would destroy items as repair was built up as a skill. There's not enough item sinks, and /fix makes armor never leave the market.

Sure but almost everyone has access to someone with mcmmo repair, where you can fix a set for like 10r worth of diamonds. Yes, it's an item sink, but it's insignificant compared to the absurd amount of diamonds on the market. If you're using /fix, it's only because you don't have access to someone with repair or you're in the middle of a fight; if anything is nerfed it should be mcmmo repair.
