Christopher Black and Hamelin d’Vaud open the first battle against an Elven city with a landing near Is’läe, one of the isolated Precaëlle cities on the north east coast. Hamelin’s army successfully lands and is immediately faced with a 20,000 man strong garrison of the city as wel as armed forces. Christopher Black’s fleet is unable to provide support, as the battle itself on the plains Islae, is fought further away from the coast. His fleet continues to patrol around the north end near Fort Bas, however avoids close coastal engagements due to the heavy fortificiations, and finds no enemy fleets either.

Hamelin’s army squares up against the Elves in equal columns, though after preliminary scouting, it is made obvious these Precaëlle Elves do not possess the essence cannons that were used to annihilate Montagaard’s forces. When the skirmish commences, as such, the Regalian cannons absolutely smash the Elven skirmish lines, which are unable to even fire many volleys at the Regalian lines. When melee is met, cavalry charged in along with the retinues leading the troops, Agnette Haagenvig, Merina Taliesin, Vladislav Marknid, Conf Ladveer and Carolyne Typhonus. In the melee however, The Regalian forces are badly bloodied by the Elven Atraves bladesmen, supported by shield Phalxaï. Merina Taliesin has her right shoulder pierced by a Phalixaï spear before being brought to safety by Agnette Haagenvig, while Conf Ladveer’s right shoulder blade is hit with an arrow before he too is brought to safety by Vladislav Marknid. Once the melee forces retreat however, a wing cavalry charge combined with a central bombardment of artillery breaks the Elven battle lines, becoming a complete route and charge. The Regalian forces as such decimate the Elven forces completely and are able to occupy the city of Is’laë moments after, though not without losing 2800 troops in the process, albeit annihilating a 20,000 man strong army.

Hamelin d’Vauds plans for the local area are put on hold however, when the war weary army receives word that a much larger force is being levied over from the city of Milaï through the strait of Ilu, a waterway that is still firmly in Elven control. Hamelin’s men simply choose to dig in in Is’laë, preparing the city’s defensive position at the risk of the many violent and aggressive locals. Certainly, the terror campaign in the rest of Daendroc has made the Elves very unwilling to submit to occupation and almost on a daily run, Hamelin’s army is attacked in side streets, has its supplies ruined and is generally harassed to the point that staying in the city that knows help is on the way, becomes almost less appealing than retreating back to the coastline. The two wounded are both unable to join future battles for at least a week.

At the tail end of movements, a yet unknown assassin tried to assail the Prince of Precaëlle in order to murder the ruler of the state and sow disorder. The assassination failed however, as he was killed by another assassin who seemed to be aiming for the assassin, both dying without any clue as to their origins, though it was clear the assassins were brought in from Regalia.

Back in Regalia, the gang heat is starting to pile up. The Devout few’s thugs take to the streets, corralling the thugs of the Circle into the Aqueduct square where a full on melee commences. Supported by Devout members such as Hadrian Grey, Shiori Draylas, Sophie Perrot, Tullion Kearney, Null Ilajo, Alistair Auylie’essen, Zzuassiel, Alfred Maynard. Sophie Perrot in particular (rolled a 100 out of 100 glory roll), fought like a posessed. To all present, she screamed, she punched, she stabbed and murdered all around. Drenched in a orgy of blood, she even blindly stabbed Alfred Maynard in the back, and wasn’t even aware of it until the entire fight was over and Alistair tried to tend to Alfred’s wounds. The circle’s thugs were defeated, though the defeat was not a particularly strong victory for the Devout Few. While more casualties were inflicted on the circle, the Devout few lost proportionally many also, meaning the whole battle only turned into a partial victory. The Devout Few lost 48 thugs, while The Circle lost 56.

Back in the Regalian Archipelago, the situation in Brissiaud turned beyond the borders of the Leutz province. In Dragenthal, the Barons Coalition started growing restless, particularly at the possibility of a Kade dominated northern border. The Barons had always been comfortable, ever since the defeat of Kade led forces during the Drachenwald Crisis, that the Kades could not encroach further than the heavily fortified south Anglian border, colloquially called “The Maggot Line” in reference to one of the Black Family’s sewer spill “accident” that resulted in vermin infestations around the fortifications.

With the prospect of having the Kades gain a land bridge around their fortifications and with their entire northern border potentially becoming Kade dominated, the Baron’s Coalition made a public statement to condemn both House Ravenstad and House Kade in their attempts to upset the delicate freedom of the lesser houses in the important heartland of the Empire. That being said, the Barons refused to act against either party, largely because it too had become aware of the situational changes around the Empire. As such, a spokesperson proclaimed openly that the Baron’s Coalition (which counted around 20,000 troops) would only act if and when Christopher Black would openly call for the Baron’s Coalition to act against the formation of the royal title of Brissiauds. Awaiting a response, the Baron’s Coalition simply stood by behind the trees and fortifications of Dragenthal.

To say that Dietrich Drache took the news of the Baron's Coalition's statement poorly would be an understatement. As soon as the name was mentioned, the Empire-loyalist baron drew a disgusted look on his face. But when he heard the statement the traitors of old made in regards to the army, he immediately lost it.

Storming around the estate, the aging commander shouted many a curse in Alt Regalian, condemning the Baron's Coalition with every breath. This tirade and slander lasted well over an hour, before the man simply ran out of breath due to his contraction of the illness that came to him a week before. With the baron no longer shouting at the tip of his lungs, one of the older Drache servants came in with a large mug of kriegsbier. Taking it in hand, the baron led all that dissent to his lifelong enemies fade away with each sip. Each sip that his family perfected over the years. The legacy they had carved.

And just at that, the temporary elixir was finished. The emotions returned. Though fortunately, not the outbursts. Instead, the Drache patriarch, survivor of the Drachenwald Crisis, marched to his study, where he spend the next hour undisturbed. When he finally returned to the hall, he had two letters in his hand. Speaking two names to the nearest servant, the Baron moved to his room again, having to deal with his scratching once again.

"Belligerents enter the war at home. Do not bid they come to the capital to make their case. Promise them I will make an address soon, and that I will send a delegation on my way to Lusits." Turning from his councillors, he boarded a ship manned by his Velheimer Companions, his real destination apparent.

"You ignorant oaf, you sail to Drixagh and expect these matters to wait for your return?" Whimped a scribe, a flush faced poet who fell into favour for his shared affinity for liberal arts.

"Cease, I cannot be a Count of Drixagh, be called to Hjemgang, and site issues abroad as keeping me from from a duel. Make a fool of yourself no longer and get to work." Count Krupp was furious, but he tried to maintain composure. Of course he knew how silly it was to go fisticuffs over a disagreement, but if you can not put your Bannermen in place, you have not an army to your name. Dies had been cast, clashed, and rolled still.

Null Ilajo lay in his home, recuperating after the recent battles, a few sections of his body swaddled in bandages, he spoke out loud to himself, debating the results of the battle. "We may have won that round, but, damn that woman was insane. Gotta remember to not be on her bad side." with that, he sipped a bit of liquor, before heading to bed, too tired to check the news of the recent battle.

Father would smile with news of his two favorite gangsters trading blows beneath the aqueducts. He would begin into a light giggle before stating to no one in particular. "Oh, the Horatio, ever the showman, how many aspire to be you yet they will never have your charm. Curious what the Madame Snake will do in retaliation. It is still too early to send a 'Get Well Soon' cake to someone..." He would then pace the Covenant bases ingredients storage. "Oh dear, this one is spoiled." And with that he would kick the spoiled cake off the back stoop of the base, into the murky depths.

Fathiyaa chuckled a bit after hearing the news of the rival gangs clashing. She watched Sae. wandering the Covenant storage. "Of course it's too early to send a "Get Well Cake." I doubt they'd want any even if you did.~" Fathiyaa watched the Nelfin take the spoiled cake with a smirk then letting out a short cackle before he dumped the cake into the water. "We'll need to have more of those made."

Despite his injury, Conf Ladveer was unwilling to give in and lay in a sick bed. He pushed himself out of bed after just a few days, with the right, injured arm, as that was the only one he had, giving the doctor a look when he protested "Look at this!" He said, brandishing the stub that was his left arm, "You think I give a sh*t about an arrow after this?" In the end, he concided that he would not be in action for the next week or so- the doctor threatened to keep him under for twice as long if he wouldn't agree. He pushed out of the makeshift clinic, walking in streets he did not know. "Need to find the General..." He grumbled.

He spotted a couple soldiers cornering a Cielothar, couldn't have been more than sixteen, he thought, though elves age weird. He marched over, arm sling and all, and kicked one of them in the reer. "Leave the elves alone, you have better sh*t to do, like work." He turned, grumbling, leaving the man rubbing his arse and looking pissed, the boy put the distraction to good use and darted off.

He came to a crossroads, glancing down the street. Everywhere he looked was a mess, soldiers standing around chatting, or getting drunk, blood, burnt out houses from the battle. He looked around, taking a moment. "Where the void is the damn command tent?" This was going to take a while...

Following the butchery at the Aquaduct, local residents may have spotted a duo traversing up the rickety ladders and platforms to the water canals - some even claiming the more enigmatic and shrouded of the two to have sported some manner of winged reptile atop his shoulder, much to the scepticism of others. Dragons were, after all, a myth.

Fewer slum dwellers could deny witnessing the masked figure's arcane feats, however, as the curious few that followed witnessed the Magus to be harvesting the spectral lifeblood of the fallen corpses, whilst his female, armoured companion followed behind - a large blade slung easily over her shoulder. The whispers and hisses of the fallen were clear as day to some as this masked Warlock performed their heresies, collecting the souls of the damned for their own twisted fantasies - or so it is rumoured.

Most, if not all scouting the area, would have been driven off by the horrendous and eldritch abomination that the Warlock seemed to summon - composed entirely of the damned fallen, clawing and feeding against the vile energies sustaining their existence amidst a form of darkness, smoke and twisting, silver mist. Simply peering within the mass of inconceivable horror would render most onlookers to freeze and depart, clinging to dear life - having had the abyss peer right back into their minds. His armoured companion held herself sternly, ready to act the part of a true Guardian to her partner.

Yet unclear as to what this duo's intentions were, where their alliances lay, and the fate of the seemingly summoned arcane monstrosity, rumours were commonplace - each man, woman and gaggle of children looking to solve the shady mystery. One detail, however, was ever present within each variation of the story, no matter how skewed or mutilated from the source.

'The Warlock wore cloth of blacks and blues, trimmed with gold - and a mask of crimson ceramic.'
