I sat daydreaming, my chin resting in my hand while my elbow rested on the wooden table that lined sloppily with four others that sat in the middle of a large caramel colored tent. My own blue eyes rested on the lips of my lover, trailing them and noticing each flaw, but marking them as perfections. My young mind twirled and danced with the possibilities of everything surrounding him, encompassing his very being. My gaze shifted to his nose, a smile easing onto my plump lips as I traced his nostrils and the bridge leading up to his eyebrows and eyes. I allowed my eyes to stare into his, his being the same color as mine if not more full of life.

His body reminded me of nature, everything being something beautiful one would admire. His blue eyes like the sky, his tanned skin smooth and tan like a river rock. His energy wild like the wind blowing through the leaves of a tree.

His lips were not curled into a smile and his eyes not entranced, but rather filled with worry, concern, fright. His lips moved in the shape of how my name would scrape against tongues, clash against teeth and escape past trembling lips. The soft wrinkles that were constantly present across the midst of his forehead were heavily prominent as he stared at me, saying my name over and over and over again.

I stirred in my unconscious state before slowly awakening, my eyes squinting up towards him as he held me in his arms, my body tensing with pain as the searing sensation roared through my abdomen. I knew what was happening, though I was too frightened to ask, I knew we'd been attacked by the Ailor, and I knew I had lost my child by the pain that continued to swallow me whole.

"Caoess'alloa? Answer me, dammit!" I heard him shout, though it was muffled and seemed as if he were miles away. I felt as if I was under water and hearing someone shout my name from the other side. I offered a soft grunt in response, only to feel his constricting embrace tighten on my body, a sob escaping his imperfectly perfect lips as he nodded. His relief sent shivers up my aching spine. Though, the fight to getting back to safety and medical assistance had yet to be won. I managed to sit up, though only found myself back on the ground as an arrow found home in my left shoulder. I stuttered for a moment before I slipped back into unconsciousness.

When I woke up, I was lying on my own bed, only my father in the room as he paced around, almost causing tracks in the floor. His face showed a look of confliction, being that he was both filled with ire and sadness. All he did was shake his head at me, shaking off his feelings which swept through my soul with winds nearly as powerful as any storm in all of Aloria.

"He's dead." He stated under a breath, his bottom lip curling back between his teeth only to have the man stomp out of the tent.

I laid there, my hands resting at my sides calmly before they slowly grasped the sheets into bundled fists. My eyes stung as I stared at the exit of the Gods-awful tent. I swallowed back a stone of regret, feeling it lodged in my throat as I held back sobs. Despite my everlasting efforts to pause the pain that was caused by the rattling of my shoulders with each cry that shown itself, the tears continued to fall. My body ached and my stomach clenched as the news was sucked further into my being with each breath I took.

I threw back the blankets covering my damaged body as I stood and stumbled out of the tent to look up towards the sky where I imagined his eyes, down towards the tops of the trees where I saw the wind rush through the leaves and to the opposite side of the camp where I saw the waters rush past brown river rocks.
