Relveth has never met his extended family, and still does not know his father. After witnessing the power of the Arken and the destruction they leave behind, Relveth has become horrifyingly aware of his mortality and insignificance. He is determined to simply live his life in peace and try to find meaning in a world that has seemed to lose all sense. He finds books highly interesting, containing a lot of story or just information. Angle Bushberry: Relveth grew a taste for these when arriving to Regalia, and will occasionally swing by the market to pick a bushel up. Discovery: No corner of the world can be left untouched, and Relveth wishes to explore all of these unknown corners. No piece of knowledge or secret should be kept from him, and he desires to learn more of anything. Dislikes Spoiler Bigotry: Being a victim of racism his entire life, Relveth has grown to hate those who judge before knowing a person. He has especially gone through rough patches with devout Unionists, along with those who see Shendar as monsters. Incompetence: Relveth doesn't have time for the idiotic or those who can't do their job. He wants everything done as effectively and immediately as possible, without anyone's personal lacking of competencegetting in the way. Opium: Relveth cannot stand this drug, and will try to avoid it best he can. He despises the smell, and the nasty smoke it gives off. Life Story Relveth Vinthracia was born in a small Cielothar village near Daenshore, to Elyssiel Vinthracia and an unknown father. His mother had defected from the Void-worshiping culture of her family, fleeing to Daenshore from the Dread Empire and cutting ties with relatives. Relveth's father was a Shenath who Elyssiel had previously been married to back in the Shadow Isles, though her self-exile from the Dread Empire ensured that she would never speak to him again. Relveth never knew the rituals and practices of his race while growing up, but was subject to alienation from the rest of the village. The resident Cielothar kept their distance from the Vinthracias, paranoid of their presence despite Relveth's mother having converted to Cielothar religion and lifestyle. When Relveth grew into his twenties, he moved to Daenshore in order to find a career for himself. His time in the village had earned him nothing but constant disapproval and a permanent leg injury after an encounter with an Orc who thought that Relveth had insulted him. A job at the town's library found him going through various books on subjects of intellectual matters, and he made the decision to find a field of study. Relveth began flipping through books regarding anatomy and medicine, finding the practices to be to his liking. Relveth traversed Daenshore in order to find people that could help advance his field of study, coming across doctors and anatomical schools with the knowledge, but they became reluctant to teach him due to his birth as a Shenath. After several years of attempted self study in Daenshore, Relveth decided that the best place to go for opportunities was Regalia, and booked the next ship to the grand city. Relveth would be recruited by a tutor that allowed him to study Medicine, but he was initially viewed with suspicion on grounds of his race. The Shenath was even forced to publicly claim conversion to Unionism and a promise to protect the Great Way, though he never took the conversion seriously and had by then started to abandon the idea of existing gods. After his time studying, Relveth applied for and was accepted into the Hauwald Academy on the recommendation of his tutor. In due time, he graduated from the Academy with his doctorate. His time in the sewers led him into meeting a leader of the Jin-Tao Syndicate, who persuaded Relveth to work for the group as a means of protection. In the next year or so, Relveth spent this time stitching up wounds for the gang while continuing his life above the surface, trying to keep to his Oath. Time eventually placed Relveth as the Jin-Tao's Hanshi leader, after the abdication of its previous Hanshi. He would also get to know the dredges and abominations of the criminal underworld, studying and examining Aberrations that had either joined the Jin-Tao or became acquainted. In time, Relveth eventually drifted from the criminal underworld and even decided to leave behind a life of crime, fully pursuing a position in Regalian society. He spent the next few years as a simple surgeon and trying to make an honest living for himself, joining medical orders when they appeared and patching up patients who mostly grumbled at the idea of being treated by a Kathar. However, the Arken and Dragon attacks on Regalia left Relveth shaken and questioning about his place in the universe, the Shenath having realized that his life meant so little next to these godlike beings. Regalia's war with the Dread Empire gave Relveth the chance to prove himself and show to everyone that he was more loyal to Regalia than to his homeland. After serving in a few battles and receiving personal commendations for his actions, Relveth ended up in a battle where he was brutalized by Regalian troops for being a Kathar. His situation only grew worse when he came home to the Holy City to discover that Kathar were being treated even worse than before. He even lost his job with a medical order and found his actions on the field to be worth less than his Kathar status, and amongst the chaos brewing in the Holy City, Relveth has begun to struggle with his self-worth.
Sorry to say, but if his leg was broken and the bone healed incorrectly (Which I assume it has since he limps) then the leg will have to be....Rebroken to reset the bone in place.
I am reviewing this character! Ignore ender. So good job, but I would add one more personality based weakness to Reuvethel, really find a way to challenge this shendarian mage, and while loving him, challenge that love with a flawed trait. Tag me when you're done @KrakenLord01 Progress: Pending!
