News from the Archipelago outside Regalia:
  • Frederique-Mattinais I inherits the title of Kürstprinz from his deceased mother Adelheid Ivrae de Sange-Real who dies at the age of 98. Frederique-Mattinais is now the last remaining Ivrae male of direct lineage to Emperor Theomar I, even if lower down the line of succession than all Kades.
  • Marquis Francois-Etièn d'Gosselin defeats Countess Marianne Paquet in battle on Basta after cutting her off from d'Aruele reinforcements. Before Marquis Francois is able to press his advantage however, Kürstprinz Frederique-Mattinais I Ivrae de Sange-Real pays for a large army of mercenaries to halt the progress of d'Gosselin in his aims to conquer all of Basta from the local barons and Dukes. While the power base of the local dukes disintegrates, the stage is set for Ivrae and d'Gosslin to compete with one another, d'Gosslin seeking to control Basta and use it to invade Ithania, and Ivrae de Sange-Real seeking to maintain the status quo.
  • Iron Duke Ryckhar I Lamperro challenges Franscesco II di Alan, Duke of Montania to a personal duel after having come back from his long absence in training. Duke Franscesco, being a fervent military man and Battle Commander, accepts the duel, incensed by the challenge from a half breed. From the very beginning of the duel, Franscesco is clearly at a disadvantage, and before long Ryckhar cleaves him in half with his great sword. Enraged at the act of the Duke of Vultaro, Franscesco's sons charge into the ring, only to be slain in turn by the Half-Orc.
  • Following the death of Duke di Alan and his sons, the lineage of House di Alan is thrown into turmoil and the whole of Montania descends into succession chaos as various cousin lines of deficient ner-do-well'ers try to claim the title. The Iron Duke of Vultaro meanwhile returns home, mobilizing nearly his entire army, flocking thousands of Orcs and Half-Orcs to his banner, though not yet sending them out.
  • Casa de Anahera, the Opium import company and conglomerate responsible for the Anahera funds deposes Carlos II Anahera from the local County throne. A series of bribes and threats result in various local Viscounts falling in line, giving rise to the Anahera Cartel, controlling the southern San Selin provinces like any lord would. In theory, the Anahera lands have now formed a republic within the borders of the Empire, though the Anahera are not completely gone. Most of the Cartel's members are in fact Anahera's, using some dated succession claims to validate their ascension as a massive Syndic spanning 22 members of the Casa de Anahera.
  • Casa de Anahera is immediately able to reclaim large swathes of Anahera finances which were squandered or stored away since the Anahera Crisis, giving rise to the Anahera banking giant that it was in the past.
News from the capital Regalia inside the Archipelago:
  • On the eve of the 6th of July, a group of radical Jacobin criminals and anti-Imperials storms the Reichsburg Sloss, the State Council Assembly castle in which the notable rulers of the Empire gather to declare policy and rule of the Empire in the absence of an Emperor. The Reichsburg Sloss had already been converted from a Castle to an Estate, losing its defensive features, and its position just outside of the city made it so the guards were not quick enough to respond. The attack happened at night, meaning none of the State Councillors were present, though some night guards and clerks who worked late hours were slain before the entire building was torched. The flames burned hot and high in the late summer night, bells quickly ringing to alert of the fire. Within some moments, Black Regiment Charter guards were present at the scene, seizing the criminals, jacobins and anti-Imperials and slaying them on the scene. The fire claimed much of the 2nd century castle, collapsing it overnight. The next day, various city presses were requisitioned by the Black Regiment to mass-print posters and letters calling for the suspension of civil liberties among the people and an increase in crack down against liberals and progressives.
  • A large mass influx of Kathar slaves arrives by boat, marched off into the countryside with no clear destination or declaration for purpose aside from "Manual Labor".
News from the Elven Front:
  • House Kade makes a number of military victories on the front near Praëcaëlle, however fails to substantially push the front. For the first time in many months however, the Imperial Dragon showed up during one of the battles, definitely edging it in favor of the Regalian attackers. The Elven war remained, for the time being, a stalemate.
News from the Southern Continents:
  • Rumors surfaced that a variety of Dragon has been spotted flying along the coastlines of Sendras, though not venturing further out to sea, or even inland, eventually descending through the trees out of sight from whatever ship saw them.
  • Cautious exploration into Solangeria uncovers old stone tablets under old sediment layers depicting the ruins on Solangeria in a pristine state. No mention of the Temple Horrors is made however, either in the depictions, or in the script which is fairly easily translated and named the Solapfer script.
News from the Dread Empire:
  • Small skirmishes occur between Regalian battleships of the forward fleets and various Kathar bone fleets. The battles are largely inconclusive, however some of the captains speculate that the Kathar are testing the waters, as their engagements and skirmishes rotate their tactics and weapons used each time.

Vedrfolnir cheered when he heard nothing has been lost on the Elven Front.

((On an ooc note, are those from the officer registry a couple months back still military officers?))

Zas'kince Allas would be slightly upset tons of fellow Kathar brought as slaves for manual labor. He'd be silent.

The Dragon Knight Barrulf grinned at the news of the feathered dragon on the elven fronts. His country was standing proud, in his eyes, and the Dragon gave him hope that his Emperor was on the rise...
