As the days in the empire progressed, the now plague-ridden lands of northern Dragenthal lay stagnant in their humid air of disease, the miasma of death a constant stench in the air of the urban centers. With Count Travis of the House Black maintaining a warrant for his arrest, most of the locals can perhaps find some sort of satisfaction knowing that perhaps the source of their suffering can meet a proper punishment and fate. The trial in question is said to occur on August 8th, 9 PM (GMT+1), and present nobility will be given the right to attend and observe the trial.

While the disease still progressed and continued its death toll on the citizens, the House Red has made active efforts in trying to combat the dark illness. Though their efforts were mostly ignored and unobeyed due to the general chaos of the lands, basic quarantines were set up though a lack of doctors or any medical experts were present, as most of them fled the land. Rather oblivious to the efforts due to the surrounding environment of death, the people continued to drag their feet in the mud, putting up little protest to any action being directed above them.

Meanwhile in the north, one of the House Viduggla's manors was found burglarized and defaced just a day ago, cultural monuments, artifacts, and curios all disrespected and and vandalized. With further search, officials of the House and county have said that a variety of historical documents, files, and reports have been trifled with, though no one reports any missing paperwork. Just due south, the House Typhonus has stepped forward just this morning, presenting concrete evidence of their claim on the county of Alvhalahem, citing ancestral roots centuries ago. Though vague and quite distant, the claim proves strong, and the House Typhonus maintains a strong legal claim on the county just north of the House Santorski's lands.

While the north featured its own minor chaos, the eastward counties are still suffering in their heavy riots. However, just a few days ago, the Duke William of the House Coen and His Imperial Grace Thomas of the House Kade landed on the shores of the Mountain Chain, the people cautious and wary of their presence. The duo arrived with a small retinue of sorts, all consisting of Kade soldiers. As the two progressed down the streets of the duchy's capital, the air hung heavy with hot disdain, their leader walking almost proudly with the man he bent the knee to. The Coen and Kade made their way up to an assembled stage in the town's square, and as they did so most of the town's populace amassed, their combined aura one of proper anger. The Coen went to speak only to be promptly interrupted as a distant feminine yelp screeched,"ABANDONED HIS PEOPLE FOR KADE CO--" the woman was cut off as a Kade guard kicked her over. The air grew hotter at the gesture, disgruntled murmurs spreading throughout the crowd. The Coen hesitated before taking another step forward, going on to begin his speech. The speech itself vaguely assured the people of their cultural, religious, and general domestic independence, but most of the people still remained skeptical, mostly the upperclassmen, merchants, crafters, and so on.

“Honorable and most noble citizens of the Mountain Chain, Heed my words, With the recent attacks on the homelands of House Black, as well as the memories from the attacks on House Typhonus by the noble House Santorski, I made a decision that many of you are disgruntled with. Some of the noble houses in Regalia are hungry, hungry for more land, hungry for more power. /Not/ my dear friend, Lord Thomas Kade. He has proven time and time again to myself, and this land that his leadership and drive can fuel progression to a more prosperous time. we are here today to show examples of this prosperity. I am still your Duke, and until such a time where I feel I am no longer fit, I will remain as such. Everything I do, and every choice I make, is in benefit to the people I love, and the people I serve. We are the Mountain Chain, We are proud. Thomas and I are in partnership. He will not dictate you great people, instead act as guidance to myself, and to these lands. I will not allow these lands to turn into chaos, not from another family, not from Thomas, and certainly not from its own people. We are proud, we are strong, we /are/ the mountain chain. For the next week, I declare a public holiday to all citizens of these lands, A festival of sorts, a week of patriotism to our name. It will be held annually, and will hereby be known as “The Ezbergen Festival”.Thank you my people, we remain strong, united. We remain the Mountain Chain"

The crowd's murmurs grew in volume, the air loosening in its previous strain, contrasting to a much more lighter, perhaps even excited tone, though the atmosphere still tinged in sharp distaste. "What's th'point of swearin' fealty if we ain't givin' up our own freedom?! Ain't no point to bend y'Duke-ships knee if th'Lord ain't gettin' nothin'? 'S pointless! Let us b'free!" A brave soul bellowed, making his way to the front of the crowd. The man scowled before going on to spit to the floor,"I ain't bow t'no Angle Isle high-blood!" The crowd's demeanor presented that of heated agreeance, the people still less-than-content, regardless of the festival that stood as their bribe. Shouts began ringing out, the beginnings of what could be a riot brewing. At the behest of a Kade guard captain, the Lord and Duke were escorted off and away from the duchy and back to Regalia.

Meanwhile in Thessalonikon, the Countess Theodora of the House Psanadarion stepped onto the soil of her land. The people awaited her arrival, their attitude and atmosphere akin to that of those in the Mountain Chain. Immediately, a large, pot-bellied man strode onto the dock, his hands on his hips,"Are you beddin' the cripple?" he asked plainly, his face displaying vague, translucent anger. Before the woman can answer, the people already began to grow in their displayed anger, shouting, cursing, and spitting as they pleased. The Countess was forced back onto her boat and sent back to Regalia, the people still proving too hostile.

The riots continued in both lands, though those in the Mountain Chains lessening in previous violent girth. Thessalonikon still maintained their hard-pressed feelings against their new liege over the Countess Theodora, and they still continued their aggressive riots throughout the isles, the production of Tyrian dye at a full stop.

Aldan lay in his bed, his linen sheets crumpled and dirty from the soot and grime on his uniform. He wasn't resting or laying his head to sleep, no. He was thinking, thinking and talking to himself, like a madman, but mad man whom was developing a plan. "If th' civvies en Dragenthal an' the ones' in Thessalonikon hear o' th' others actions, o' one another' Rioting, they may ban' togethea'...." Aldan said in deep thought.... "If I were th' one en charge o' tha' Area, o' keepin the people calm.....I'd make it a blackzone......Set up a blockad' around each duchy....tha' way no rumours nor anythin els' could be spread..... if thos' two groups combin' then we may really hav' ourselve' a war on ou'r han's." Aldan shot to his feet, for he had finally come to what he thought may be a solution. He stood upright and bolted out of his chambers, rushing to inform Mr. Sictor of his plan, and to ask he inform Julian Kade of it as well. ((@e2782 ))

Drust was extremely annoyed today. He had talked with the other Klo's, and all five of them were keeping an extra eye out for dangers to the Viduggla. He didn't know why Typhonus were after the County, and personally he didn't care. If others came to take these lands from the Viduggla's, he fight them. The other Klo's shared similar sentiments, and had even proposed that Drust talk to Leugel about taking actions to prepare for a possible invasion. While others wouldn't think of taking such actions, the five Klo's were all of Elladorian descent, either having parents from the snowy land or having been born and raised there. They all knew the hazards of not properly preparing for clear and present dangers, and they all had seen the destruction that war could cause.

If the Typonus wanted to fight, Drust would be more than happy to meet them on the field of battle. He had never forgotten his family's teachings, and had more than a few tricks up his sleeve when the time came. For now, he needed to find Leugel.
