Nowadays it seems all people talk about is war, oligarchs, and vampires. What am I to do, a finely educated, civilized Regalian? I care not for these petty troubles.
This is why I have taken it upon myself to host a weekly bookclub in Regalia. We will analyze some of the finer literature in Aloria, an activity that many brutes these days don't care for. I plan to host it in my house in Regalia, in the afternoon every Friday, however the time and location is subject to change. ((9:00, CST timezone.))
During the bookclub, we would spend about 30 minutes ((5 irl minutes)) reading our book or script of the week, and then we might discuss, interpret, or debate about the topic.
I would like to know if any of you upper class folk would have interest in my book club, as this is all just an idea at the moment. If I can get about 5 to 10 citizens interested in joining the club, I will begin making preparations, and such. A few people have already expressed interest in the idea. Finally, should this club take off, I might ask for small donations, to commission copies of texts that have not been remade yet. Thank you for your time, and I bid you all farewell!
((We might use wiki-roleplay stories, or flash books such as the race book, since it is hard to find 10-20 copies of the same book. However if we get donations I can pay people to make copies, or make some of them myself. I won't ask for donations until this is all set in stone, however. I was just thinking that everyone is at war or getting executed, we need some more mundane and city-like activities going on.
