News would spread quickly from the Court of Rats. Orphans, beggars and the general slum populace would come to know of the organization known as 'The Ratcatchers'. They were set in place as protection for the High Court along with gathering up traitors to the slums, which ironically were titled rats.
Ranks
- The Rat Commander: The Rat Commander acts as the direct representative of the Ratcatchers, tasked with the laborious deed of recruiting rats into the order, structuring the means by which the Ratcatchers protect High Courtiers, organizing missions and training Ratsigns and Ratdets. Only the Rat Commander may remove members of the organization if they deem it necessary.

- The High Rat: The High Rat acts as second to the Rat Commander, charged with matters of espionage, diplomacy, information peddling, and general works of secrecy. On top of those duties, The High Rat keeps tabs on all active rats in the field. This includes but is not limited to identity, allotted task, and designation of specific rats, which are matters of privy held only to the Rat Commander, The High Rat, Rat King, and Steward's knowing.

- The Ratecary: The Ratecary, while not holding much power compared to the High Rat and the Rat Commander, are in charge of the alchemists and physicians of the group. They are able to experiment through illegal means as long as it benefits the Rat Court, Ratcatchers and slums as a whole.
- Rat Prefect: The Rat Prefect upholds the responsibility of leading the espionage section of the organization. This would include doing jobs relating to that of officering the Ratherents, conducting missions, and collecting information suitable for The Rat Court and The Ratcatchers. These members are able to conduct missions on their own, with permission from The High Rat, and are meant to be able to handle themselves and lead their lower-ranked comrades. Each Rat Prefect is offered a sort of representation that is personalized for each individual who earns this rank.
- War-rat Officer: The War-rat Officers are the head honchos of the Ratdets when the Rat Commander is unable to handle matters personally. They are charged with keeping the Ratdets in line and commanding when necessary. These officers are meant to handle themselves and not rely solely on the Rat Commander. Each War-rat Officer is rewarded an item of privilege when obtaining this role, showing the trust the order has in them.
- Ratdet: Those who would rather wield a blade of steel over a tongue of silver as a rule find themselves designated to this branch of the Ratcatchers. Ratdets serve as meat sacks for High Courtiers, warding off threats, beatings, kidnapping and other shenanigans, but they should under no circumstance step up as a High Courtier's bouncer or personal muscle.
- Ratherent: For those that choose to take up the deeds of espionage and spying, this rank is meant to be the main force that The High Rat uses to perform nefarious deeds in the slums and even in the East Side of the city. These members are used to collect information, perform missions under the Rat Prefect and The High Rat.
- Ratsign: These are the grunts, the meat and bulk that makes up the Ratcatchers, who are yet to specialize in either espionage or enforcement. Once initiated into the order, this is where members are designated until assigned to their preferred position. But there are incidences where members opt to remain a Ratsign, as it allows members to be involved in both aspects of the Ratcatchers.
- Rat Scholar: These are the most basic individuals when it comes to the field of science that wish to partake in The Ratcatchers. They'll often hold support roles for either of the two sides of the organization. They serve The Ratecary through the means of scientific work done within the order, are mages who serve through their talents, physicians and alchemists who perform surgeries or create concoctions.

Those who wish to join the Ratcatchers will be required to locate the Rat Commander and The High Rat, coming to them with an intent to join. Optionally, a letter can be sent as well to the Court of Rats (PM including myself, @Sebbysc and @Vegemiite ). Below is an application, which while once again optional, can help us better understand your character and their skills.

OOC Information
- Ratcatchers are the newly formed guards and agents for the High Court.
- There are two functions to this group; one being tasked with guarding the High Court, the other acting as spies and agents to increase their influence and sight.
OOC Rules
- Adhere to normal Massivecraft rules.
- Adhere to the Character Death rules, especially if attempting to backstab the order.
IC Rules
- Don't betray the Order.
- Don't betray the High Court.
- Don't betray the Slums.
- Treat the High Court with respect.
- We are not the bouncers of the High Court, they cannot command you to attack someone they despise.
- Protect the High Court no matter what unless they betray the slums.
- Your actions are a reflection of the Rat Court and anything done to Ratcatchers is a reflection and direct statement to the Rat Court.
