    Personality and Abilities (Required)
    • First Paragraph: Randulf is often seen as jovial by other people. He tries his hardest to be friendly to all he meets, rarely acting cruel nor insulting. He is certainly obedient to those he views as above him. He appears to always be working, showing himself to be a workhorse. Though Randulf rarely acts harshly to people, but he carries a sense of authority, perhaps due to a strict upbringing. Never being rude nor ill-mannered, Randulf is certainly rather mellow for a Noble, though just missing a certain flare that would make him rather charming. Though Randulf can be fun, he holds a certain sternness about him when the situation calls for it. Randulf certainly knows where to draw the line when it comes to humour, and may sometimes call people out if he sees them to be too silly at the wrong times.
    • Second Paragraph: Not wishing to create enemies, Randulf is always apprehensive. Though he feels confident, he fails to recognise his own achievements. This leads Randulf to overthink a lot of his actions, fearing that he may be a failure. Randulf tries to fill his time with enjoyment and loyalty, fearing that if he may sink into a deep depression as he longs for success.
    • Third Paragraph: Around friends Randulf is a very outgoing person. Although he is self-assured, he is certainly not big-headed or cocky, sometimes stepping back to let other people take the spotlight. However, this does not mean he shys away. Randulf is happy to lead conversation, being a rather sociable character; cracking jokes and telling stories to entertain others. Overall, Randulf appears to be rather jolly in the company of friends, opposed to his stern and stringent character around strangers. Randulf tries to maintain a healthy blend of all these characteristics, no matter who he is with; he is not afraid to call out his friends if they are being foolish, just as he is not afraid of showing kindness to strangers,
    • Fourth Paragraph: Randulf is certainly a lawful good character, willing to help anyone in anyway he can. While he is a witty character, he is always ready to lay down the law or put people in line, if he must. Usually seen with a smile on his face, Randulf hides no dark secrets or urges to destroy, harm or hurt.

Juliette Howlester - "Forever and ever." Juliette is Randulf's beloved wife. Ever since arriving in Regalia, Randulf had his eyes on the woman. The two grew closer through the Vigilant Shield, as well as the Finance Ministry, where they eventually began to court. The two were married in 305 AC. @AtticCat

Rodderick Howlester - "Thanks for the advice." Rodderick is the patriarch of Randulf's family and a close friend of his. Rodderick seems to always be there to provide advice and help to Randulf, as well as being a good character to have a laugh with. Randulf is extremely grateful for Rodderick's help. @BillyTheScroofy

William Howlester - "Sorry..." William is the closest father figure to Randulf. The two do not really get along, but Randulf appreciates William's company. Whenever Randulf steps out of line, William is there to snap him right back. @BillyTheScroofy

Ania Howlester - "Oof!" One could describe Randulf as a fan of Ania's. Randulf thinks Ania is extremely cool, finding Ania very badass. Randulf sees Ania as a bit of an inspiration, admiring her tough attitude. If anything, he is slight intimidated by her. @MantaRey

Edmure Howlester - "Cheer up, lad." Randulf enjoys Edmure's company, despite the amount of bickering they get up to. While Randulf is constantly insisting that Edmure lighten up, he can still understand why the man is so stressed all the time. @ScaledSupremacy

Eric Liolen - "Friend to the end." Randulf views Eric as extremely trust worthy. He enjoys his company as if he were family and certainly respects his opinion. Randulf would consider Eric a friend, as well as a comrade. @Ghirko

Lazarus Lupenzi - "Please be quiet." Randulf does not like Lazarus. He thinks he talks too much, complains too much and works too little. In Randulf's eyes, Lazarus really is good for nothing. @ZiggyStarDusted

Hengest Harhold - "Please don't hit me." Much like Ania, Randulf admire's Hengest's stubbornness. Perhaps not as close as the former, Hengest is even more intimidating to Randulf. He certainly does not want to get on the wrong side of him. @Jonificus

    Life Story (Required)

    • September 1st, 270 AC - Born to Hrodgar and Donatienne Howlester, in Merginvague.

    Childhood:

    • Randulf was homeschooled by a private tutor from the age of 4. He enjoyed the time with his tutor, as he found the man to be very cheerful and jolly. Randulf was certainly inspired by his tutor and would always look forwards to his lessons.
    • Randulf also enjoyed the company of his father, who would often taking him out on trips to the country. Randulf’s favourite thing to do on these trips was climbing trees. Hrodgar would humour Randulf’s interests, but was never afraid to discipline Randulf if he were to behave inappropriately.
    • Hrodgar was especially strict with Randulf’s older sister, Violetta, who would often be beaten or smacked by her father. Randulf often had to witness these beatings, but never understood the evilness of it at such a young age.
    • As Randulf approached 8, his mother fell ill. Randulf had never had a strong relationship with his mother, as most of his time was spent with his father. Nonetheless, Randulf was shook by the news and spent many a day with his mother. Hrodgar did not like this, as he felt that Randulf was becoming too like his mother; he saw him growing weak. Of course, this was an incorrect and illogical assumption by Hrodgar, who just wanted to keep control of Randulf. Hrodgar banned Randulf from visiting his mother, telling him that her illness was highly contagious and that Randulf may catch it. For the first time ever, Randulf retaliated against his father’s judgement, pleading with him to allow him to see her just one more time. Hrodgar lashed out and struck at Randulf. He now understood why his sister was so afraid; he saw the evil side of his father. He was finally on the receiving end of his father's anger and he knew it was wrong. Hrodgar would not tell Randulf’s siblings what he said to Randulf, leaving his brother and sister to presume that Randulf chose not to visit his mother.
    • It was around this time that Randulf’s older brother, Brydon, chose to leave the family estate in search of exploration.
    • Despite his harsh side, Hrodgar took the time to actively search for a cure for his wife’s illness, through whatever means necessary. He would often meeting with sketchy criminals and powerful mages.
    • By the time Randulf was 10, his mother’s condition has deteriorated. One day, while his father was working, Randulf crept up the stairs to his mother’s chambers. From inside, Randulf could hear his mother and sister mumbling to each other. Placing his ear to the door, Randulf heard his mother and sister talking. Randulf suddenly felt a rush of emotions. As Randulf placed a hand on the door-knob, ready to rush in, a hand grasped his shoulder. Randulf turned to see Hrodgar, there. Three days later, his mother would die.
    • Soon after the ceremony, Violetta would leave too.
    Teenage Years:
    • Randulf did not have much to do in Merinvague, aside from attend his tutoring lessons. He had grown too old for climbing trees, instead spending most of his time reading about inventions and science.
    • One day, after returning home from a local faire, Randulf found his front door knocked clean off its hinges. Dropping everything he carried, Randulf rushed inside. In the study, was his own father, coated in his own blood. It turned out that one of the gang’s that Hrodgar requested a cure from had not been properly paid and had sought out their own revenge. Randulf fell to his knees beside his father, placing his head on his chest as he slowly wept.
    • As a funeral was arranged, Randulf reached out for his brother and sister to attend. He waited and waited, but no one responded. Randulf was just 13 when his father died. He had him buried in the woodland they used to climb in, at an unmarked grave. No flowers were ever laid there.
    • It was decided that Randulf would be sent to study at the School Of Statesman. While his cousin William had offered to take him in, Randulf really just wanted to continue his studies.
    • During his time at the School, he attempted to reach out to his siblings, but to no avail. He had no information of where they were, not even an address.
    • However, Randulf did manage to contact his cousin, Rodderick, who was studying at the same school.
    Adulthood:
    • Randulf studied at the school for 10 years total. He was never the best, nor the worst, but his jovial and determined personality certainly made him stand out. He graduated in 293 AC, at the age of 23.
    • He took many jobs in commerce, while in his spare time training with the Wulfsrudel Master at Arms to increase his combat skills. Randulf also took the time to work in a few of the Howlester's forges, learning the skill of Smithing.
    • Randulf married Juliette Miramonte in 305AC, adopting her daughter Ellora. The two spend many a day, and night, together, always happy in each other's company. Julie has even begun to teach Randulf to dance.

    My Review:
    • His novice level in the School of Turall does not need to be a special permission, only Expert, Champion or specifically marked lower levels in a school need that sort of notation.
    • Your first personality paragraph is contradictory and rather extensive for something that strangers, gossipers and first impressions might garnish from him. He's jovial but mellow and stern? Please adjust this.
    • As for his talents, his first needs at least one more sentence to it. His second talent should get a different name as well since Mentalism is "a performing art in which its practitioners, known as mentalists, appear to demonstrate highly developed mental or intuitive abilities. Performances may appear to include hypnosis, telepathy, clairvoyance, divination, precognition, psychokinesis, mediumship, mind control, memory feats, deduction, and rapid mathematics." All of these he does not possess and I feel that the term Observant would be better along with some restructuring of the wording.
    • Life Story:
      • You state that his father beat Violetta but that it was out of "strictness". Why would he view such actions as evil later on if he was aware his sister was an chronic misbehaver who required correction?
      • Why does spending a day with his mother constitute him becoming more like his mother in the eyes of his father? It's a very odd conclusion for him to make, was the mother an over-caring woman and hated all forms of suffering and so would tend to always stay near the side of anything in pain? Or was it something else.
      • You later state he was an orphan: He is a member of the leading noble house of Gallovia, his family most certainly would have taken him in at that point. Maybe not the main line, but certainly a cadet branch or some form of relative.
      • He graduated as a novice in 208 AC?
      • You don't mention his family very much, despite that certainly by age 14 and the fact that Rodderick got into contact with him that William, or at least some other people, would have gotten involved in his life to some minor extent. Where did the money come from to pay for his schooling for example.
      • Your life story is over the 900 word limit we have on life stories, please make the necessary reductions

    My Review:
    • I ask that you please state which School he got his points from as stating "School" is very vague and blank.
    • His Cultural Points are 35 when they should be 25 as he lost 10 by entering into a school in the normal Proficiency Points area. Please correct this.

    @HydraLana edits done in green.

It doesn't state that attending a School subtracts from your Culture Points.

"Below is an example of a character which has Cultural Proficiencies assigned. It concerns Henry the 30 year old Leutz-Vixe. Henry attended the School of Viridian and put another 20 proficiency points in Longswords. This means his 30 regular Proficiency Points have been spent, but he still has his 20 Cultural Proficiency Points left. Since Henry is Leutz-Vixe, they gain a +10 boost in Tailoring. He spends another 10 in Tailoring, but also 10 in Vocal Music. His Character Application would thus state:"
Quoted an example directly from the Wiki page, it is very clear: -10 points. Please perform this edit in red @StarkFromAway

@StarkFromAway You saw my message in noble chat, feel free to revert your cultural points back to normal. The -10 thing to Cultural Points is wrong.
