Qata grew up learning from both his parents but favoring his father given the discomfort his mother had around him. As a Half-Elf, he was already not well liked by his mother, but over time she had grown increasingly unhappy in Solacil, where she often found herself serving mainline Teledden, further increasing her displeasure. Qata remained diligent, but as he grew older, he was drawn toward the skills of a local mage and his son. When he was 14, he spied on the young man practicing in the woods, but was quickly found out. He begged to learn such skills from other, and when the boy’s father learned of this, he insisted it be done properly under his guidance. For another two years, Qata learned magic from these two figures, developing a crush on the fellow teenager, with the two becoming romantically involved. Several months after Qata turned 16, his mother discovered where his late nights and free time had been taking him, to learn frivolous, useless magics, unsuitable to work. That blossomed into an explosive argument, his mother’s feelings laid bare. Hurt and angry, and with the blessing of his father, Qata ran away from home. He tried to convince his boyfriend to come with him, but the other resolved to stay at home with his own father. Wounded further, Qata left his home village that night, and for the next two years, traveled the Silerian Chain. He mostly learned musical skills during this time, as well as some further uses of his magical abilities. At age 18, he traveled to Ithania itself, where he soon found work in a circus, perfecting the performing arts for about a year before he stepped away to travel the country on his own terms. He took to life as a traveling servant, often as a gardener who would usually get a promotion or two before he’d move on. At this time, the Yanar helped him accentuate his existing skills with plantlife, and while not of the Estellon faith, his use of such powers added to his existing slew of powers. By the age of 22, he was no longer living the life of a servant, instead a courtesan traveling down the western Ithanian coastline having a ball with friends and clients alike. In 308 AC, he ultimately made the choice to travel to the Daendroque lands with a client to pursue new opportunities, and also approach a slowly forming goal, a visit to the House of Tantalizing Regret, the Estellon goddess Sapphora’s greatest holy site. However, given his status as a Half-Teledden and the massive unrest that broke out as the Allorn Empire re-emerged in early 309 AC, Qata quickly fled over to Corontium. After spending a few months in the south, he headed north, finally reaching the City of Regalia looking for new opportunities. He found work, friends and more, losing them all in turn, soon finding out how cyclical the city could be in its highs and lows. In 311 AC, he has now devoted to keeping his profile alive in the city through performances at a range of events, putting his magical, faithful, and mundane skillsets to great use.
@HydraLana Here is your review: Basic Information - No issuesSkill Information - No issuesVisual Information - No issuesPersonality - No issuesLife Story - No issues Approved!
@Lizmun Made a few small changes due to the Half Race update, should likely remain approved. Gave him Half Altalar Racials Reorganized his points a bit, giving him a singing ability, and added one point to Mixology Made it clear that his power source is Exist
@Lizmun Made a minor edit to Languages, removed Tolonne since it was purged, and added some more to the end of the Life Story to reflect how long I've played him. I've kept the tag since nothing of real substance was altered.
@Lizmun I updated the application to the most recent Magic changes regarding proficiencies and the like, as well as the Teledden racial to provide one free Magic Pack. He is also now a Greater Mage because, honestly, he had the investment for it, might as well make it official.
Made a minor change and added the Hôterie Wisdom Pack, removing the Sleight of Hand Pack as it didn't suit him, he's a bonified mage and doesn't have much of an incentive to cheat at cards, usually.
