Plugin Reccomendation

I think the server should add a keybind plugin for all players to use. Something that allows you to assign a command to a button. So if I wanted to open my backpack, I could just hit something like B to open it. Just an idea.

There is a really helpful mod called KeyBinds Macro Mod. When Forge and the mod is updated and stable for 1.8, I suggest downloading it. I've used it myself, and it's amazing.
