A mix between either a Dwarf-Basq-Khar Varran, OR, Cielothar-Basq-Khar Varran. They are similar to their cousins which is the half-Varran, but still remain different in quite a few aspects. Though, in a simple term, they are just a compact half-Varran.

Basq-Khar Varran are only and strictly limited to - (Warran, Yarran, and Sarran.)

Height limits of Stout Furling's range from 4'5" then all the way to 5'5". Allowing some creativity to come from that with the wide and open selection that it can offer.

Stripes are capable of appearing on every spot that their half-Varran cousins have, though their hair is thicker and covers more over their body rather than how normally would. The stripes are capable of appearing on the cheekbones, forehead, neck, back.

Unlike half-Varran, Stout Furling covers an entirely different niche thanks to their snout-like nose. Rather than Ailor-like proportions, they are less humanoid to say the least. If such is wanted, the snout of a Stout Furling protrudes outwards and holds nostrils on the tip like you would see on a Tapir. Though, because there is no official reference for the Stout Furling, you can go around that and simply let them have a more 'normal' looking nose. Such meaning, you can just follow with the half-Varran
looks.

Though not strictly monitored, Stout Furling are prone to having darker hair rather than light colours. As well as it being much thicker on torso, arms, legs, and head.

If any information is mentioned on the half-Varran section of the half-Race page, and it does not say otherwise on the Stout Furling section; It can be concluded that it means the exact same thing for the race to carry over into the other.

No matter what sort of mix you choose for your Stout Furling, they will always have a lion like tail. With a similar poof of fluff on the tip of such. Another thing is that their tails range from 12" long, or shorter.

A less known but still official point of lore with Stout Furling is their noses. They are capable of snuffing out inanimate materials up to two days old without proficiencies, though, their scent of living matter is hindered unlike other races. This could be used for sniffing out 'bad dirt' as their purpose is more leaning towards farmer-like characters. As well as sniffing out poisonous veins of material beneath dirt so that their crops are not poisoned. Not only that, but they can also seek out water by the use of their nose, but such being overpowered is strictly spoken against without the use of proficiencies.

All Stout Furling, like half-Varran, get a +5 boost onto their body stat due to the +10 that Varran get for themselves. Prior, before the update of proficiencies, you would just cut them in half and give the half-Varran such. With proficiencies as well, you are capable of choosing two from each parent rather than taking all four.

Their aging is quite unique as well! Like all half-Races, they take the lower life-span which makes all Stout Furling to live until 140. But, with aging it is rather different. If you played a Cielothar-Varran, you could have them to be 40, but still looking in their mid-twenties, or early thirties. Allowing some sort of Nelfin like aging, but not fully due to the mix of the races.

Stout Furling personality wise are meant to be quite nerdy! They are very scholarly people, often schooling themselves in the earth sciences and get along well with others, though they tend to ramble or mutter thoughts aloud in addition to making use of complex vocabulary in stressful or exciting situations. Though such is not strictly enforced, it is recommended to have some sort of those features implemented into the character.

Without sharpening or much maintenance, Stout Furling's nails are also quite a fun thing to play around with! They can be sharp enough to cause scrapes and damage skin, but not as easily just slice through like they would with a full Varran. As well as their nails not being as tough, but still more so rather than a simple Ailor's. The natural nail shape is like they are manicured, but not actual, full claws. Another fun Stout Furling thing is that they have basically Ailor teeth, but for rp purposes can have elongated canines to symbolize the Varran genes they carry. But again, they are not in the full power that Varran has.

Though not needed but HIGHLY recommended is that you read the pages of the race you are going to play, even if they are half, read anything you can find for them.

Any information that isn't clear, check for the half-Varran area in the wiki or simply make a ticket! Or, if any information is incorrect, please tell me so I can fix it. :(

I liked the bits where it clarifed all the minor things, like effectiveness of the nails, teeth and the explanation of how the nose has abillities that do not require proficiencies, although the original page mentions it, the explicit aknowledgement of no the no profs used, is useful to new players.

Imo this is a pretty good skim read to get the gist of it all and if I didn't have so many character ideas in my head I'd wanna make a stout furling now xd.

Good job.
