Character Information
Petra is an Asha who came to Regalia to find a new beginning and opportunity. Like the marsupials whose animalistic traits she inherits, Petra is soft, protective, and motherly - yet all bark and no bite. She is fiercely protective, despite lacking much in the way of direct combat expertise herself.
Appearance Information
Petra is just a few inches shorter than the average humanoid build, leaving her around the lower end of the average size among others in Regalia.
Her stature, however, is a bit more bulky and stout - thick limbs, a somewhat plump chest and belly, and a layer of grey and white fluff on top of that - grey fading to an off white on her limbs for much of her body, a more distinct white on her belly and up her chin - making it hard to tell just how much of that bulk is muscle, fat, or purely fluff.
A strip of longer white fur, somewhat like a mohawk or mane, stretches from the top of her head and down her back, fading until it blend in with the rest of her fur. Her eyes are golden brown.
At the lower end of her belly is a pouch made of flesh and fur - for her, an Asha and not a real possum, this pouch serves no real purpose for raising young, though she does not shy away from using it to store some of her belongings from time to time.
Clothing-wise, Petra often wears skirts and tunics with simple ornamental trims, or with fur collars and trims if the weather is on the cooler side. Her preferred colors are pale forest greens and earthen tones, with copper or pewter accents. She prefer function and comfort over form as a general rule.
Petra has a long, flexible tail similar to that of a rodent. She is rather dexterous with it and can use it to carry smaller objects. This tail, along with the lower insides of her ears, her nose, and her hand and feet paws, are not fur-covered, exposing soft pink flesh. The tops of her ears are pierced and often wear small silvery rings that wrap from the front to back - two on her left ear, one on her right.
She can wield a sword with some efficiency, though she rarely does so, preferring to fight with bare hand and claw - if at all.

- Friendly Tavernkeep - Petra is a soft and welcoming individual, and eager to make any and all feel welcome and taken care of, both a natural characteristic and one trained from years of working taverns and restaurants, and mingling among all sort of folk.
- Motherly Figure - In addition, she is motherly and caring to all she deems deserving. She sees reason for redemption even in criminals and others looked down upon by society at large, believing all deserve a fair and comfortable life, and willing to lend an ear or a helping hand to anyone and everyone. (Come get your mom hugs!)
- Wary of Magic - Despite the above, Petra shows some hesitation around those openly use magic. She can grow to trust those who do not use their abilities for evil, but she is not quick to let her guard down around mages or the occult.
- Baker's Touch - Petra has a knack for making bread and baked goods. Her home is often filled with the warm scent of freshly baked loaves and sweetened fruit jams. These skills come in handy as she often seeks work in taverns, restaurants, and bakeries. If she decides to settle down and has enough money of her own, perhaps she'll open her own bakery someday.
- Quiet Sorrow - Sometimes, Petra shows hints of a sadness she often hides within. Hints of this can be seen when she cares for others with the genuine love of a mother, despite her not currently having children of her own - a longing, a sorrowful memory, a hint of regret...
- "Trained" Medic - Not much of a fighter, Petra is at least able to stay prepared by carrying bandages and medication on her at all times. Her training is not formal, but she's doing her best, and seems strangely fascinated by disease and injury, learning what she can about medical practices in an informal setting.
