“Cmon-!” The red headed shouted, dragging the silver beast away from the crowd, as the heavy seven-foot tall creature slumped over her shoulder, putting its weight on her.

Earlier that morning, Yala was thinking about the new dress she ordered, sitting in the Temple of The Sisters, listening to the Priestess talk about Estel, the Holy Woman. It was there that the Priestess had discussed options with Yala, including the God-born Naarfi, on how to worship and abandon the Void. She had also run into Finn, a younger man that followed Naarfi around like a puppy. She had waved her goodbyes to the Priestess and Naarfi, and headed to Crookback with Finn, joking on how she was ‘switching sides’ so often it must make people’s heads spin. Rounding the corner, they discovered the scene of chaos.

Two silver beasts both were fighting an unknown man, who she would later learn is a man named Vic, and Wulf was trying to protect the beasts. Two onlookers stood by, a Brallona, and some other creature Yala wasn’t sure of. The creature turned its gaze toward the two.

“Better get the hell out lovebirds, it’s a bloodbath here.”

She felt her cheeks redden and Finn blush red with embarrassment, she didn’t correct the beast on the matter she was already married to a Purist man, as Finn drew a broken shovel, Yala untangled an old frayed hangman’s noose, watching the fight go down. As if their sudden arrival had triggered something, she watched as Wulf’s face went from normal - to blank. The same look the Countess had during her fight. She put an arm in front of Finn, a protective gesture, in case Wulf changed his tune. But to Wulf, they didn’t matter, as the dwarf lunged after one of the two beasts, the silver one clad in armor.

“What’s going on?” Finn had muttered.

“No idea.” She said, as her eyes trailed to the bigger silver beast, it was heavily wounded, downed by Vic’s flurry of attacks, then got right back up, prowling toward his unprotected back.

“CHAAAARGE!” She almost was blown back by the sudden stamping of hooves as a centaur, clad in jade armor, rushed in and began attacking the Silver General, and if the shout had snapped Wulf out of whatever trance he was in, Wulf reached up to protect the General. Vic had turned and threw his spear right through the Silver Marken’s shoulder, as it retreated, letting out a howl of pain. In a feat of strength, stronger than anything Yala had witnessed, Vic shoved the Silver Marken toward the Silver General, both collapsing in a heap. Covered in wounds, the Silver General made his way back into the fray, fighting the jade centaur with the downed Vic’s own weapon. Vic had dragged himself off, and Yala had felt a pang of guilt, she couldn’t get closer.

“We need to help those beasts.” Finn said to her, moving forward, as Yala also approached to grab the Silver Marken, who slumped on her.

“Oh, the lovebirds are moving forward?” The beast taunted, “Without any proper weapons too, their either stupid or brave. We should bury them side-by-side, like star-crossed lovers.”

Both Yala and Finn looked at eachother, made a collective ‘ew’ face, before being interrupted by the centaur. “YOU!” The warrior charged at Finn, who Finn reacted by bringing his shovel toward the centaurs head.

“Time to go!” She shouted, as she saw the Silver General downed by the Jade Warrior, she began dragging the wounded creature to the only place she knew, the Church of the Broken Wing. She took a quick glance back, to see the Jade Warrior lifting up his weapon to likely smash Finn, only covered in leather armor and armed with a shovel, she squeezed her eyes shut, making a decision. She sent a quick prayer to whatever Gods were listening, and carefully made her way with the beast in tow, hoping whatever divine being had given her a chance and listened.

Leaving Finn, the Silver General, and Vic to their fates, she set the beast on the floor of the steps, who instantly turned and shrunk down from a seven foot tall beast, to..

“Prophet!” She said, eyes widened in horror.

Silver blood laced down the steps of the Church, the Prophet was in bad shape, barely lucid. Several gashes, a cut on their head, and the spear through their shoulder. She instantly froze, unsure if they would want her help..but this was no time for them to argue. She put him down on the bed as it pooled over, squeezing her eyes shut as she remembered her training, if only a distant memory. Washing and dressing their wounds, the Prophet would sometimes snap out of lucidity, mumbling directions to her, before finally, once Yala’s hands were covered in silver blood, the Archon’s magic kicked in, as strands of silver vines covered and healed the wounds. Another Archon and a demon had joined by this point, a demon Yala hadn’t seen before. While the two Archon’s were discussing something, Tarakona had limped in, also covered in her own wounds. Her own shadow demons began to try to heal her, while Yala moved forward and also did the same for Tarakona, and once done, she set an armor chestplate and leggings by the Prophet’s bed.

“A gift? For me?” The Prophet said, blinking.

“Yeah, so the next time we meet, you don’t, y’know, almost die.” She gave a chuckle, still sounding a little shocked. Tarakona had moved over by this point, scooting closer to the group. For the moment, Tarakona, The Prophet, the unknown Archon, the demon, and Yala fell into silence, unsure on how the future would pan out.
