Night Pursuit
Desperate for the need of others. Yilvana was running along the empty streets of Regalia, being pursued by a cloaked figure, that camouflaged well with the nullified nightlife. They ran, the woman too exhausted for screaming, she saved every breath for respiratory purposes.
The young woman made a halt as she noticed a dead end. Gulping as she spun around to investigate. There he was, eyes that were a noticeable rusty vermilion colour. His appearance just as dull as his eyes, the bloodthirsty demon stepped closer to its prey. Aiming to pounce on the girl. She side-stepped, and decided to make another run for security.
Nevertheless, it was but a scavenger hunt as the heresy pursued the innocent woman. He was gaining more of a grasp on her every second, she could feel his presence getting ever so nearer. Unfortunately, the Vampire clutched on the back of the woman's hair and jerked her backwards into the wall. It seemed hopeless for the frightened lady.
However, the nightmare was just coming to a pause as Yilvana reached for a book in her satchel. As the Sanguines gaping mouth opened, she swung the book for the side of his curved face, causing his hood to fall and himself with it. Yilvana took this as her time to trail off, so she did just that. Looking back only once, she could tell this wasn't over. It was behind her, fangs seeable as well as his shockingly pale facial structure. But instead of empty hands it was now holding a small, jagged dagger. Charging at full speed.
Hissing as it ventured for the woman, the two found themselves meeting a stream of water. Yilvana looked behind her shoulder, he was slowly making his arrival. Her head was lost, with eyes narrowing between the water behind her and the demon in front. So she made her choice, and then it came forwards and she did what needed to be done.
Onwards the heretic came, dashing towards the defensively incapable lass. Lunging high at her, caping the moon with its distorted existence. This was the result Yilvana anticipated for, so she acted on pure hope and darted herself to the side. Looking at the Sanguine as it fell right into the lake, but the young woman didn't look no further and turned to sprint off into the mysterious night.
But the nightmare wasn't quite over yet. Yilvana was hurrying towards her Aunties shop, until she came to a stop. Noticing something lucid, approached at a fast rate. And before she knew it, a green and glowing sword was at the centre of her attention. The wielding of this weapon was no other than the same heretic from before; cackling at the girls somewhat feel of bravery yet utterly terrified at the same time.
Piercing the night sky with its glow, the sword was suddenly raised and the Vampire whistled a disturbing goodbye as he chuckled hysterically some more. The young girl knew it was over, but didn't accept not going out without a fight. So she rammed her book into his stomach, and the Sanguine stumbled with a yelp. However he recoiled with a frightening attempt to swing, causing Yilvana to jolt back and barely avoid getting sliced. Unfortunately she tripped and fell, leaving her face-to-face with the demon.
The dawn chorus could be heard as the Vampire viciously marched towards the girl, and by what was thought to be a miracle. It ended, the nightmare this young lady was trapped in was finally coming to a halt as well as the nighttime itself. Looking back was the Sanguine as the sunlight started to bathe his face in an autumn orange, causing him to drop his blade and hunt for nearby shadows.
Yilvana stood as she curiously watched the Vampire flee for the search of shelter, she too needed to find her place of protection. As soon as she got to the shop, Yilvana rested on the couch, sipping a sweet mug of tea. Melodina walked in directly from her office, eyeing the woman down with intriguing eyes. So Yilvana told her curious Auntie about the horrific night pursuit.
