Hello Massive! Today I come to you for a suggested update to the current traits we have. As you likely know, you can only have a certain number of good traits, and these must be balanced by bad traits. When they were first implemented, this was quite easy to balance. However, they have been updated, and several negative traits were removed.

Gone are the traits of Archery, Unarmed, Sword, and Axe Weakness and Inept, leaving us with just a handful to choose from. From that handful, several cannot be used together or contradict each other, such as Carnivore, Herbivore, and Nonivore, as well as Harmlight/HarmSunlight, and HarmDarkness.

We are left with in my opinion just a couple negative traits that do have a negative impact, but don't completely alter your gameplay such as Slow and Blindness do. Even with our 10 trait slots, I find myself using just 3-4 traits sometimes, and in the case of raiding pretty much every negative traits can go out the window.

I think it would be fun to see implemented, and lead to an improvement in gameplay, if we had more negative traits, as well as bring back some of the old ones that have been removed.

I agree with this to an extent, but I think that this isnt really an issue anymore, since traits are completely disabled (as far as i know) in PvP. When you are building, mining, you are expected to use the harmful traits, so that there is more of a punishment for getting the high-point OP traits such as Speed2, flywater, Haste2, etc.
