you can play characters that have magic 'til the new lore's released, so go for it, just be prepared for not being able to play a character with magic in the future w/o a character app n stuff!

dwarves aren't necessarily really fat (though without regular exercise, they either get very frail or fat, yeah) + expert forms usually only take 40-50 years to learn

btw, I like the idea of a feisty, older dwarf wizard, chances are he'd know stone magic, right?
